Pink Saturday

Hey Everybody, this is my first time posting for Pink Saturday, I've been reading a lot of blogs that have posts for this event, and thought it might be fun to join in, especially after buying the piece below, today.
This is a nice pink and white doily I found at a garage sale today for $1.00. I love crocheted doilies and am always on the look out for them.
These I bought awhile ago, I love the look of pearls or faux pearls as these likely are. I don't have a good place to put them yet, any suggestions on that?
This glass I believe is depression glass. My parents have a set of their own and this one has the same pink coloring. It also has some etching on the surface of grapes and leaves, I don't know if you can see it that well in this picture. It's about 4 inches tall.
This cute little pitcher, was just way too cute to pass up. It's about 3 inches tall, I have no idea what it would be used for, but's very cute.
This is a silk handkerchief I bought at an antique mall, it has some slight embroidering around the edges and hasn't the nicest feel, I really need to iron it, bet it would look way better without those creases in it. I'm a big fan of handkerchiefs with embroidery on them, I also like the ones with lace edging.
I do have to admit, I'm not a huge fan of pink, which is why I didn't join sooner, but the more ways I see it, the more I like it. I always thought of it as bright hot Barbie really girlie pink. But, as I grow older and see all the different shades, especially with the pink posts I read, I'm really liking pink a lot more.
I don't have a ton of pink items, but I do have a lot of items with pink in them, and as I've seen people post things like that, I think I have a few more things I can post. I hope to be a regular contributer to this event.

Welcome to Pink Saturday! Your little cream pitcher is indeed depression glass and the pattern is Cube by Jeannette Glass. Nice piece that will look great on your breakfast table or the next time you have friends over for tea or coffee.

A hearty welcome to Pink Saturday.

You know, I used to not like pink that much either. I loved it up until I was about 15, then my color preference changed, and I moved on to other colors...for about 25 years. Now, I've come full circle and am enjoying all shades of pink again.

Depression glass is so pretty. One day I hope to have a set.

Thanks for sharing,
Patti

Welcome to your first Pink Saturday! All your pinks are very pretty. I especially appreciate the pink doily, my grandma made me one before she passed away. It's really an art. I can remember her telling me it was difficult to learn and time consuming. Pity they only go for a buck or two. Welcome!! marcia

Your creamer looks like it is the Fostoria cubist pattern, the other piece looks like it is elegant depression glass. Go to your book store (B&N) & look in the antique price guide books (even some antique malls carry these books) for your pieces. There are tons of guides on the Depression Glass pieces.

Welcome to PS ... look forward to your other pinks.

Have a wonderful PS weekend ~

Welcome to Pink Saturday ;) Remember that PINK is an attitude and you don't always have to post about PINK things...it can also be pink wishes and dreams and thoughts. Have a wonderful week, fondly, Roberta

Welcome to Pink Saturday! Love the pink depression glass. We're neighbors, one state over. I am in Nebraska. We love to go to Okoboji (I read you were going there). I see you are affected by the floods...I will keep you in my thoughts.

I also have that sweet little creamer. Your glass is lovely, I love pink and green D glass. You could use your pearls as curtain tie backs. I also have a doily like yours, pink is fun, you'll see.
Hope your first PS has been fun.
