Panda notebook

So, it's been a week, did you miss me?
Friday: I had off because I worked the weekend. I finished the book, Radium Girls by Kate Moore. That was a touching book, it keeps sticking in my mind.
Saturday: I had to work, I totally drank a Mountain Dew on Saturday and Sunday to make me less grumpy and though it did work, I need to find a better way to be less grumpy. I got some happy mail.
Letter N:
 Notecard and notebook.
Sunday: I also had to work, the library was really dead. I did put together some swaps/tags, though.
Birthday pocket letter for July
 Mermaid tag:
 Magnet tag:
 Surprise tag:
It's a fabric banner I picked up from Hobby Lobby.
Surprise tag:
Monday: I was so tired when I went in to work. I saw this cool truck on my way home:
I also had some happy mail waiting for me.
Letter M:
 Mask and mini rug
Happy mail:
Tuesday: No matter how much I try to change my routine, I still get a lot of my swaps/tags done on Tuesday. That's what happens when my mailing day is Wednesday. I suppose it could be Mondays, but I like my routine, I know the people working at the post office when I get done on Wednesdays.
SMS Sticky:
I had seed a post by the person I was sending to, that she picked up a bunch of vintage stickers at a thrift store, so I dug these out of my stash and sent them to her. I did include some stickers in case she didn't like them.
ATC:
I admit, I basically just use the scraps on my desk when making these. I really love the bright colors and how this one turned out.
Favorites:
The person I sent to liked cute socks.
Letter O:
Normally, I try to send a selection of things, but I knew O was always going to be an owl.
Summer ATCs:
How cute is that little girl in her camp clothes?
and some napkins.
Wednesday: work, was not exciting. nothing else really happened that day.
Thursday: I signed up to work extra hours and hit downtown dollar days on my way home. I didn't find anything I couldn't live without, until I stopped in at a second hand clothing store. I spent $25 on two shirts and a dress, I'm not sure it was worth it, but I need some new shirts lately. I found some happy mail when I got home.
Wish of something snail and unicorn:
Not what I was expecting, but they'll get used.
wish for international snacks:
I've already eaten the mochi and the green tea koalas, so good.
I put together some more tags.
Snack:
 candy bag:
 Flamingo:
 Unicorn:
I was originally supposed to have a 4 day weekend, until I signed up to work on Thursday. I know I would have gotten bored, so it's ok. I keep thinking today is Saturday, though. When I got up this morning, the internet was down, it just came back up around 1pm. I did get on facebook with my phone, but for some reason my phone network is not very strong down here. I found a listing for a sale just down the street and it had pictures of lots of scrapbook paper, so since the internet was down I decided to check it out.
I found this guy while I was out:
I don't think I've ever seen a cicada in their shell.
Here's what I picked up.
stickers, die cuts, paper, ribbon.
There was a ton of scrapbooking things, but I thought the prices were a bit high. There were a bunch of 12x12 paperpads that they had priced at $10, and single sheets of paper for $1 each. That's more or about the same I would pay at Hobby Lobby, so no I didn't buy them. I'm not paying what I could at the store at a garage sale, I desperately wanted to go to Hobby Lobby afterwards, but I haven't. the 12x12 paper pads even had some paper missing, at Hobby Lobby, they'll be $20 or $15, but there's frequent sales where the paper is 50% off, and the single sheets of paper are usually $0.60. If the paper was 10 for a $1, I probably would have got some, there was a bunch of cardstock and patterned paper, but it was priced the same.
I saw signs for two other sales while I was out, I got some stuff at one of them.
the two boxes on the bottom are invitations and a notebook.
I have to do a sweet treats flip book and tag swap for my groups, so I thought the cupcakes would be great. As I was paying at this sale, they mentioned they'd have more stuff tomorrow. Sorry, kids I don't need any of this, I'm not coming back tomorrow to buy more stuff I don't need.

Shopping Haul

I feel I'm over my "I didn't spend enough money in St. Louis" issue. I'm good now.
My friend and I went shopping today, our first stop Walmart:
 leggings ($3), cookies ($3), horchata mix ($2).
I need more leggings, sadly they all seem to be midrise and weird patterns. I found this pair for $3 and then realized they are capri when I got home. I guess it doesn't really matter, I just wear them around the house. I picked up the cookies cause I was hungry (you'll see more food in the haul). I picked up the horchata mix because it gets me to drink more fluids and I definitely need that.
Next stop was Younkers, they are at 60-80% off and I've been told that they're bringing in new stuff to our store (probably because it was more profitable). We wandered around, but I didn't find anything I wanted to spend the money on, they were marked down, but still not in my price range.
Next stop was TJ Maxx:
 card ($2), cards ($5).
I was looking for new and different food and something mermaidy. Though I kinda knew when I walked in, they were going to disappoint me. I love this roller skating zebra card and I couldn't pass up the card set, it has sloths, giraffes, pandas and koalas.
Next up was Walgreens, while we waited for the bus:
 Reese's ($1), Twix ($1 each), Fanta pineapple ($2), cashews ($2).
By this time I had been snacking on my cookies from Walmart and needed something to drink. I totally finished it by the time the bus made it to Target.
I saw these toys in Target:
I love how things from the 80's and 90's are coming back. I saw some Ren & Stimpy stuffed toys at Walmart, but didn't feel like paying $4 each for them. I also just watched the reboot of Jumanji, I liked that. I also love how they incorporated some of the old movie into it.
I also saw these at Target:
The sticker packs at the top were about $16. I don't have a Micheal's around here, so I get excited seeing these at Target and Walmart. The only bad thing about it, is there will never (most likely) be coupons to get them cheaper.
I don't need folders, but thought these were cute:
They remind me of Maggie Holmes paper lines.
Here's what I did pick up:
Oreo bars ($1 each), Ghiradelli sea salt dark chocolate covered cashews ($3 each), Dove sea salt milk chocolate covered cashews ($2), Hi-Chew ($2).
I can't get enough of these Oreo bars, they're really not that great, but they're pretty cheap for candy bars. Also, loving sea salt chocolate covered cashews, it can't just be chocolate covered, it has to have to have the salt, otherwise I don't like them. Also, can't pass up Hi-chews.
 notebooks ($1 each), crayons ($2).
Cause I couldn't pass up these retro unicorns or anything sloth. Also, loved the art on the crayon box, it does have a few metallic/glitter crayons in it.
Last stop was Dollar Tree:
off brand twizzlers, sweettarts ropes, off brand smelly stuff for your hours, pop chips, shower curtain.
Someone sent me some of these Sweet Tarts ropes and I LOVED them, so I totally picked up two packages. Also, love me some Twizzlers, these are watermelon flavored but some off brand. I like these cheap smelly things, I live in the basement where it's a little dampish, and I'm not allowed to have candles, so I use these. I've never had Popchips but these looked cute, I might pass them on to someone else in a swap, they don't expire soon. I need a shower curtain, but I don't think this is what I want.
Saltwater taffy, bandaids, notebooks, notecards, lip balm, pens, boxes.
I like how cute the packaging is on this taffy box, I was thinking of passing that on, too, it doesn't expire until next March. I can't pass up cute bandaids and these are Jurassic Park. I couldn't pass up the notebooks, they were too cute. Also, saw these scented lip balms last time I was there, I was glad they were still there. I picked the pens for a future tag. Also, how cute are those boxes? They are macaroons and they're pretty big.

Weekly update

Sunday: I put together some wishes to grant.
One person wanted anything zombie and she liked the Golden Girls.
Another person wanted anything Hello Kitty
Monday:
I received a pineapple tag:
 It's a coin purse
My August calendar tag:
 Another birthday card:
 And my lollipop box:
It's been a year since I started the lollipop box and so I cancelled it. August looked promising with ice cream and fun, but I rarely use the items, so I stuck to my original decision and cancelled it the other day. I've been looking for a replacement, but haven't yet. It's not like I can't stand to save $30 a month.
Tuesday:
I put together a birthday package.
She likes Tsum Tsums and Peanuts.
I received a 'garden':
 Letter N tag:
Numbers, nuts and notes. I thought later I should add napkins, but oh well.
Wednesday:
I left a tiny bit early to work and found this beauty waiting for me on the sidewalk:
I've been a bit bored at work lately. I think it's because some of my new responsibilities are monotonous, I like when I do different things each day and working with the public and in my position I usually do. But, some of the new responsibilities they've given me, they're just the same every day I work. This week I got to do some other stuff I normally don't have time to do, so it really helped.
I also received a swap in the mail:
It was a scavenger hunt. We had to find something sweet: dog notebook, something sparkly: sequin mix, something scented: car freshener, something square: sticky notes, and something soft: stuffed bear.
I was a little disappointed in this swap, it specifically says everything needs to be new, and you can tell the sticky notes are not new (they should have been in a package) and the stuffed bear smells of someone's house. I hate when I follow the rules and other people don't. I'll still keep swapping and doing tags. I'm just a little disappointed.
Thursday:
My friend and I are going shopping. I feel I will have a shopping haul soon.

July Lollipop box

I got my July Lollipop box in the mail today:
I love the theme this month. I wish I knew how to seek adventure.

Love the hot air balloons and the globes. How cute is that hot air balloon paperclip?
Again with the cute hot air balloon, I kinda wanna put it on a ball chain for a keychain, but I'm afraid it will break, my keychains seem to do that. Also, how cute are the heart and airplane punches from map paper?
Still loving the hot air balloons and the globes and the camera and tags. I admit, I don't really use arrows, so I'll probably pass those on in a swap.
Also loving the hot air balloon paper, the water color looking paper and the map paper. August promises sweet treats and ice cream.
The DIY this month is a mini tag book.
I don't know how much I can say I love the hot air balloon theme.
All the other stuff. The washi is sparkly, will probably also pass that along as well as the tabs. I may not use sequins in my crafting, but I love collecting all these little packages.
In February, we got a clear happy mail stamp and I had been using it a ton on the stuff I was sending out and then it started stamping weird:
So I asked about it on the group, they suggested Versamark ink, but I stated I wasn't going to go buy a pad. So, the shop that made the stamps, Skull & Crossbones, made me a rubber replacement one and sent along a tiny versamark inkpad
I haven't tried it out yet. I wanted to try the versafine on the clear stamp but I'm not sure where it is.
