Weekly update

Sunday: I finished some altered library pockets:
And got some tags packed up.
Grant a wish:
She had wished for gel pens, anything Peanuts Christmas and junk journal supplies. I didn't find any Christmas Peanuts stuff on my travels on Saturday, so I chose some gel pens and put in some junk journal supplies.
Magnet:
I felt a little bad about sending this as the magnet, but I didn't know what else I'd do with this magnet, I did include a magnetic bookmark as well.
Wish
 She asked for birthday mail.
Wish
She asked for cartoon stuff, specifically LOL, for her daughter, and since I have a bunch of LOL stuff for some reason, I thought I'd send it out.
12 Days of Christmas Envelope swap:
I had it mostly done except for filling the a few envelopes. I also chose to use a gift bag for #12.
Monday, was a long day at work. I had a meeting at 3:15, I normally work until 1:15, so I stayed and and did some stuff in between, by the time I made it home, it was almost 5, I didn't plan for that.
I found some mail when I got home.
Wacky Wednesday: Flavored:
Though I'm not entirely sure how a facemask is flavored, I'm not eating it.
Puzzle book:
It's mostly my fault I don't like these. There's not a lot of puzzle books I enjoy. I think I just wanted to send off the puzzle book I had. I did that for a lip gloss tag, too. I don't use lip gloss, so I was going to be disappointed with that. I need to be better at onl signing up for stuff I will use.
Tuesday: I had the day off to make up some extra time I had worked. I slacked off all day. I had some mail when I checked.
Halloween pocket letter
I've got to stop making things for this group. I realize it's more of a mail group vs a creative group. But, I just wanted a Halloween pocket letter, just one.
Wednesday: was busy at work, we were short people and it was just really busy. I put together a Y tag:
yo-yo's and yellow. I didn't participate in X because I couldn't think of anything and I didn't want an X-rated tag in return. I'm not going to participate in Z because I don't have anything and I'm not going to participate in the next alphabet. I've been more disappointed than thrilled about things I've gotten in return.
I had a thank you card in the mail when I got home.
Thursday, I didn't do much.
I received my grant a wish tag:
I'm a bit disappointed in these, too. I asked for number stickers, and I realize these are number stickers, but I needed them for an advent calendar, they are way too big.
Keychain tag:
Love this, even though I'll never use it as a keychain, it's a bit too big for me.
And a couple pen pal letters:
Thursday was a pretty good mail day.
I also got my Garland Advent calendar items all put together
I tried to not have everything Christmassy, but wanted more Christmas than regular items. I also got the gift bags done, but was too tired to take a picture, that will probably come next week.
I put together a Sticky notes tag:
Friday: I closed at the library, it was also a busy day, I felt very overwhelmed and then my co workers let me have the last hour in the back, and that totally helped.
I received a Wacky Wednesday: Silly
I don't think of the emojis as silly and I hate the poop emoji. I passed these on to someone else.
I had signed up for a paper marbling class at my local art center after work. I was wicked tired when I got there and thought maybe doing it after work on a Friday night was a bad idea, but if I wasn't working, I'd probably find some reason not to go. It was fun, but they said all materials were provided, when I got there, the instructor said something about we should be wearing aprons, but did she provide any? Nope. This was supposed to be like those sip and paint things where you go home with a finished project and I do love the papers I made, it's just paper. It would have been nice to have a card, but there wouldn't have been enough time to do that. We were creating up until a quarter of nine, and I was definitely ready to go home and go to bed at that time.
Here's what I created:

It was really fun, and I don't want to use my papers, cause they're so neat. I probably won't make more unless another class comes up.
I was so tired by the time I got home, my feet were throbbing because apparently I don't have comfortable shoes to be standing in for 8 hours. My co worker commented on my boots saying they looked cute and comfy. I had replied after 5 hours they were not that comfy anymore and she said no shoes were.
Saturday, I woke up tired. I don't know why, my body just hurt. I spent the day watching youtube and working on a book. It's a good book, it's just kinda dry and intense and the print is small.
I received my 12 Days of Christmas envelope swap in the mail:
I have to hide it until December, so I don't open them.
I put together an SMS cozy tag:
 A junk journal tag:
 A destash tag:
 And a surprise tag:
I find the surprise tags to be really hard. I want to send something good, I probably over think them too much.

Good Day

It was a good day today.
Except that part where I had to get up at 7AM to go to my mother's for the church fairs. We did decide they weren't very exciting, but then the first time you do something it's more interesting than any subsequent time.
Found some cute cookie jars at the first one:
I was so tempted to buy that tea shop one for my boss, but I didn't.
Here's what I did purchase:
a bunch of stamped images for $1 and an angel for $0.25
 Some cards for $2 each.
Found this cookie jar at the next sale:
And this cool bag with Zelda stained glass windows, very cool.
My goal was to get scotcheroos, and I found a plate at the second sale:
Scotcheroos $4, Almond bark goodies $2, puppy chow $2.
I love how they tell you there's peanut butter in the scotcheroos, I certainly hope so. The puppy (or people) chow as they called it was weird, it wasn't as chocolatey as others and had peanuts in it, I'll be taking that to work on Monday.
 tin $0.25, hope rock $0.50.
I picked up the tin to replace my tea cozy tin because I have too many single tea bags from swaps. My word since I broke up with my ex, years ago has always been hope. I love that this 'rock' had a frog on it as well.
My plan was to go shopping in the afternoon, and then I got up and saw there was a wind advisory 8-2, after getting home from the church fairs with my mother, I was cold and having a hard time warming up, so told myself I wasn't going to go out, that I'd go tomorrow or Tuesday when I had the day off, but then I was watching this video on youtube about plane crashes and they started talking about aliens crashing planes. I decided then I needed to leave the house.
I needed some clothespins and number sticker for an art project. I hit Dollar Tree first:
Tea, donut coin purses, clothespins, pens, gloves, bandaids, keychain, magnet, stickers.
I'm running a bit low on my chamomile tea. I saw someone get these coin purses on youtube the other day, so I had to pick them up as well as the cat pom pom keychain and the donut magnet. I found the clothespins, 24 for a buck. I picked up the pens for a swap. It's that time of year to need gloves and I needed the bandaids cause a pair of my shoes suck and give me blisters. I'm also thinking of using them as a cheap fix for an issue with my boots. And of course stickers.
 stickers, bows, cards, owl ornament.
Cause I have a hard time passing up planner or unicorn or cute animal stickers. The bows are for my clothespins. I'm always picking up birthday cards. And I liked the owl ornament.
 pillow, ornament, gift bags
I love this pillow, my favorite emoji is the nerd emoji. I don't like sticker emojis, I like the more 3D stuff. Again, needed the ornament and gift bags for swaps.
Next up was Target:
 socks ($1.50), keychain ($1.50), DVD ($7.50), cashews (2 for $8)
Saw the socks were on clearance, picked them and the pineapple keychain up for swaps. I keep checking out Deepwater Horizon from the library, figured I should just buy it. I couldn't pass up the cashews, they are soo good.
As I was writing this up, I realized I was supposed to pick up razor blades.
Next was Walmart:
gift tags ($1.50), pot holders ($0.88 each), tape ($6), buttons ($2), and a whale ornament ($2)
How do you pass up these gift tags that have cacti and narwhals and llamas on them? Especially for $1.50, there's 18 of them. Picked up the pot holders for swaps and probably the whale, too. I'm always picking up the tape packs everytime I go to Walmart. I had to pick up these buttons when I saw they were $2, because at Hobby Lobby they are $3 or $4.
Last stop was Hobby Lobby because I never found any number stickers.
coffee stickers ($3), Christmas kit ($3), Christmas ornaments ($3), Troll ($1), Project life kit ($8)
Apparently stickers wer 40% off, which would have been great if they had some number stickers I could have used. I picked up the Christmas kit and ornaments for swaps. The troll is a keychain, I picked up two of them. I love this project life kit, I didn't know it at the time, but as I was going through the journaling cards, there were quite a few that had books and bookshelves, and one that said Totally Worth It, that sums up my thoughts on this purchase.
Christmas paper, stickers and unicorn stickers.
I picked up the Christmas paper for a swap and I realized about half of the papers don't have to be for Christmas. Not exactly sure why I picked up the round Christmas stickers. Unicorn stickers don't need a reason. The number stickers I picked up for my swap.
Saw this beautiful car on the way home.
 And found some mail.
Wish for sms interesting and a stuffed snail
and some sticker sheets.
I'm rather excited about the emoji pillow, the hope rock, the cashews, the whale, the project life kit and the snail.
After being so bummed for so long, this definitely helped.

Care bears

It has not been a very exciting week. I think I'm stuck in a depression slump.
Sunday: I did laundry and got a few things ready to mail.
October Scavenger Hunt:
This time we had to find something circular (buttons), wearable (pin), silly (stickers), spicy (chili seasoning, and wet (hand sanitizer). I was originally going to do washi for circular, but remembered I had these buttons in my stash and decided to use those instead.
SMS Christmas:
These are journaling cards I got in a Peachy Cheap grab bag. I won't use them.
An ATC:
 December Calendar tag:
 a keychain:
 And a Halloween pocket letter:
Monday, I found some mail waiting for me:
my secret sister package in the mail:
I really like this one. I think they followed my favorites list pretty well. I won't use the Dollar Tree tape, and I have no idea what the scrapbook nails are, but otherwise it's a great package.
A wish granted:
I admit, I didn't realize that 'hope' goes with the breast cancer awareness that is October. It's my word I adopted after breaking up with my ex years ago.
Not sure what this is for and the sender couldn't come up with a reason either. I'm still not a fan of Nerds (hasn't changed since a few weeks ago when she sent the same thing), so they're going in a Halloween basket for a friend.
It was nice to get something fun in the mail after an annoying/upsetting bit at work. I also went to the grocery store on the way home and spent way too much money on chocolate, Mountain Dew and ice cream because of said work thing and just being in a slump lately.
Tuesday: my dad and I took care of an errand and I found mail when I got home.
Dollar Store:
Again, with sending people religious stuff. I realize that the notepad could be more for Thanksgiving, but I see it as religious. And I have so many notebooks. I also realize I say I'm going to stop doing this tag, but I can't help it.
Wednesday: Also not exciting, I didn't even get any mail.
Thursday: I was going to go shopping (that usually helps), but I couldn't convince myself to go outside. I had one piece of mail:
The sender said it was for happy mail and stickers, a wish granted. I'm not going to count the stickers, but other than the care bears I'm not going to use them.  I splurged at the grocery store on Wednesday, but the food didn't help put me in a good mood, so I'll probably go back to being cheap. Still stuck in my slump, but Saturday, my mom and I are going to a couple church fairs, we'll see if those help.
I do need to go shopping for something for a swap, which will probably happen Saturday afternoon or Sunday or Tuesday (I have the day off).
I searched for Third Watch on youtube the other day and got sucked in to watching clips on there. I really miss that show. It helped watching it, but I would have rather watched full episodes. I wanna go back to high school and college, when I was more care free, there were good shows on TV, I had people to hang out with. I didn't have a lot of responsibilities, basically didn't have to worry about much.
I would not like to go back to bomb threats and 9/11, that was also high school. I weighed myself at work the other day, I'm at 201. Not happy about that. I know it's because I haven't been exercising, I need to go back to drinking more water and who knows what else. I'm not happy with me or my life.
