Dollar Tree and Hobby Lobby haul

I went shopping today. I've been meaning to go to Dollar Tree, Target and Walmart to see if they had any valentines stuff left over.
I made it to Dollar Tree but not Target and Walmart, there's really nothing I need at those two. I did need some deodorant, body wash, and trash bags.
Here's what I picked up:
gummies, chocolate and a solar dinosaur.
I believe I mentioned last time they got their food back, and I'm a sucker for gummies. I think I should put these in my Easter basket and forget about them. The chocolate eggs just sounded good. The valentines chocolate was 50cents and it doesn't look like they are solely valentines day. I picked up the solar dinosaur for a friend.
Stickers. I was so excited that they had gotten in stickers I had seen in other people's hauls. Like I need more stickers. I need to start using my stickers.
water bottle, bag, body wash, deodorant, pens, foam tape, suncatcher, trash bags. I did pick up what I needed. I'm curious to see how well these trash bags hold up. They had the glad ones, 5 in the box. Usually, I'll pick up a big box at Walmart/Target for about ten dollars, and there's quite a few in there, I didn't think I'd find any trash bags, so I'm happy I did, I just don't know how well they'll hold up. I picked up a new water bottle because the one I have a work has been weird lately. I leave it in the fridge and when I come back to it, I have to take the straw out and put it back in for it to work. I picked up the bag for a future swap. The pink pens I picked up for a future swap, the black ones are for me. I've been wanting foam tape for awhile. I picked up the suncatcher for the paints, I have some Super Mario suncatchers that didn't come with paints, and I needed paints.
I also went to Hobby Lobby because their Easter stuff is 40% off. It's kinda weird cause their St. Paddy's stuff is still only 30% off and I know Easter is after St. Paddy's Day. I didn't look at the Easter stuff at all last time I was there because it wasn't on sale. I also saw they were having their paper half off and I wanted a paper pad I had seen last time.
paper, stickers, cupcake liners, rice crispie treats. Those are journaling cards, which I also don't need more of. I did talk myself out of the 12x12 paper pad I had come in for, it wasn't as neat as I thought it was last time. I picked up the succulent stickers because I have succulent washi and paper, I really need to do a pocket letter with them. I thought the flower stickers went with the journaling cards I got on the 18th. The hot air balloons are from their valentines section, which was 90% off. I had seen on Tanya's Hobby Lobby haul that they had these fox stickers and I also picked up the felt ones to go with them. The cupcake liners are springy and I wanted to use them for rosettes. The rice crispy treats were also from their valentine's section.
stickers, washi, stamps, bird.
These butterflies were in the Easter section. I'm trying to pick up things that are more springy than Easter, but I really liked these chicks and eggs. The hearts were from their valentine's section. The washi looks to be thin floral. I have the blue in a regular width. I did see these stamps last time I was in before I told myself to not look at the Easter stuff. I thought the flower, spring and bicycle stamp could be used more than just at Easter time. I really liked this little bird figurine.

I used up the rest of the $100 giftcard my dad gave me on the 17th. That's pretty bad. It took a little over a week for me to spend it all. There were two gas station stops for food, two Hobby Lobby trips, one JoAnn's trip, three post office trips, and a Dollar Tree trip. It's not something I want to think of spending in a week. I was feeling really proud of myself for basically not buying anything last Tuesday when I was out, but then to realize I did spend that much is really sad.

I was looking at my posts from the last year and have noticed that I have a lot of things that I have bought. Most of the stuff that I bought and don't still have has been candy or food. Most of the stuff I still have is stickers and washi. I really need to stop buying them and start using them. I have so much of both of them, I really don't need more.
I do want to check out Walmart and Target to see if they have any springy/Easter stuff I can't live without.

Catching up

This past weekend was gorgeous, I believe we were in the high 60's both Saturday and Sunday. I had a basketball game I worked on Saturday and walked home by way of Hobby Lobby and JoAnns. My dad had given me a $100 gift card, one of those ones you can spend anywhere (except Walmart, apparently, he had tried and it wouldn't go through at Walmart, I haven't had issues anywhere else). I stopped at a gas station for lunch (it was about 3pm by then) of cheeseballs and a Mello Yello, after enjoying those in a sunny spot. I headed into Hobby Lobby. I really wasn't going to buy much, but I found some cool stuff on clearance:
Paper, stickers, journaling cards, buttons, card kit, metal signs. The three papers at the top are single sheets, Paper Studio stuff was 50% off, so I picked up these three florals. I'm not usually into florals, so I don't know why I picked these up, on one of the channels I watch on YouTube, she mentioned she was ready for spring and was picking up florals, so maybe that's why. The Valentine's things were 66% off, so I picked up a sheet of stickers, foam glittery hearts and a card kit. I had wanted all of these earlier, but I didn't want to buy them at 30% off. I'd been eyeing these stickers, but I believe they were originally $3.99 (I don't have my receipt anymore, so I'm really not sure), and I thought that was a bit much for stickers. Especially since I don't need anything. I also picked up these glittery foam heart stickers. I love how they have blue and green in the pack. The glitter fallout is also not that bad. I also loved this card kit, it has tiny cards with jewels, hearts and some tiny die cuts. There were two different sets, but I really liked this set because it has tiny die cuts of mason jars. I always check out the clearance section when I go in, I noticed it was a bit bare, so I went down some of the aisles and noticed they had a bit of things in the aisles with clearance stickers. Last time that happened at my Hobby Lobby, they were making room for new things, so I wonder if something new and exciting is coming. The buttons were the only thing that weren't marked down, but I used a 40% off on them. I love buttons. The two packs of MAMBI journaling cards were originally $4.99 marked down to $2.99, probably still a bit high, but I love them. The other package of cards was the same. The two metal signs were 40% off, I thought they'd be great for spring swaps.
I don't know if you guys like it when I open the kits and spread them out for you, but I did with this shopping haul again. This is the My Mind's Eye, my story journal cards:
I really like journaling cards, more so if they don't really have a spot for journaling. I like to use them in pocket letters, flip books, whatever. Once again, this was originally $4.99, marked down to $2.99.
These are the MAMBI Journaling cards packs:
 Again with the floral

Like I said I don't normally gravitate towards floral, so I don't know why I really liked these, but I hope I will use them.
There were two packs, as far as I can tell there are no titles or themes written on the packs. They are all one sided. I don't have the packaging in front of me, but there were a lot of 3x4 cards and a few 4x6 cards. Also originally $4.99 marked down to $2.99.
This is the Valentine kit:
I didn't show you any of the multiples, but it came with 6 cards, 6 envelopes, 3 of each design, 22 die cuts, 8 glitter stickers and 1 gemstone sticker sheet. It doesn't have a suggestion on how to make your cards.
And these are my favorite buttons from the pack:

Like I said, I love buttons. I'm trying to shop less at stores and more at garage sales this year, where I can find more of the vintage stuff. I'll elaborate more at the end of the post.
Next up, JoAnns:
paper pad, tags, foam dots, washi, mini paper pad, sticker book.
I haven't been shopping at JoAnn's much lately, it seemed like they didn't have much in papercrafting stuff since they remodeled. I had heard that their Valentine's stuff was 80% off and that they had a cool $1.99 section, so since my Hobby Lobby and JoAnn's are in the same strip, I thought I'd check it out.
They had a 'President's Sale' where their paper pads were 50% off, normally there's no paper I want, but I did find this paper pack, Happy Day Stack by DCWV and got it for about $10. I had found another stack at Hobby Lobby called She said Yes, or something like that, that was gorgeous, but I didn't pick it up, I really don't need more paper. I was also hoping to find it in the 4x6 size, but I didn't. Most of their Valentine's stuff was marked as on sale, but they didn't have their new $1.50 and $3 section marked, and I didn't feel like paying full price for a couple things. I did find this cute sticker book called Ride my bicycle, or something like that. It's basically a whole bunch of different animals riding bicycles, and only $1. I also found the $1.99 section. The tiny paper pack, washi, tags, and foam squares were from there. I'm not sure they're really worth $1.99, but I was excited to find the mason jar tags, the foam squares, and the fox washi. I liked the small paper pack, it looks to be the perfect size to layer in pocket letters.
Sunday, I worked a wrestling meet and then walked home, but didn't go shopping, I had to meet with my parents to plan our Chicago trip, more on that below.
Monday was a staff training day at the library, lots of sitting.
Tuesday, I headed out to the post office and then walked up to the mall. I had to return something to TJ Maxx before the end of February and since it was still nice, I figured, why not. I tried to find something to spend my return money on, the only thing I found was this:
It's bars of chocolate, but it was also $5.99, I didn't think it was worth that. So, I just got my refund. I also tried to spend a giftcard I had for returning Christmas presents at Younkers, but I never really find anything there. The whole store was pretty much on sale and I still couldn't find anything.
Next I headed to our Walmart. It's across the street from the mall, they are converting it to a Super Walmart, and they are getting close. It was very empty, if I didn't know they were converting it, I might have thought they were going out of business. I wanted to see if they had any good clearance deals on Valentine's stuff. I barely found any Valentine's stuff, I did find a couple packs of underwear, I needed those, so I grabbed them. Especially since the two of them were less than a regular priced pack. I also picked up a sheet of Easter stickers and an Easter activity book.
I took my refund from TJ Maxx and spent it on lunch at Jimmy Johns and rode the bus home. Later when I mapped out my route, I learned I walked about 3 miles, no wonder I was tired.
I've been wanting to check out Target to see if they have any Valentine's stuff left, but I don't need anything, and even though it would technically be free because I still have giftcards from Christmas, I'm not doing it. Today, the temperature dropped down to a high barely below 50. Tomorrow, we're supposed to get snow. It will get warmer again, but looks like we'll have snow for a few days. It is February in Iowa after all.
I'm going to Chicago about the middle of March. I'm ready for a vacation. My parents want to plan everything out, but other than the aquarium I really have nothing I want to see. I just want to relax, not think about work and not be here. I'm hoping to just kinda explore, walk around. My brother lives in Chicago, so we're staying with him.

Hodgepodge Vol 298

It's Hodgepodge time, head on over to Joyce's to see what other people have answered. I admit, the questions haven't really been interesting to me lately, there was one last week about a book I've read, but I couldn't think up answers for the rest, so I didn't join in.
1. Have you ever been fishing? Did you catch a fish? If so did you keep it or throw it back? If you haven't been fishing is that something you'd like to try? I have been fishing, I am not patient enough to sit there and wait for the fish, though. My ex took me a few times, and I'd always wander off to find something else to do, he got tired of that and stopped taking me fishing.

Fish out of water, big fish in a small pond, living in a fishbowl, packed in like sardines, this is a fine kettle of fish, plenty of fish in the sea, or cut bait...which fishy phrase most recently applies to some area of your life? Maybe living in a fishbowl, I've decided my life is boring, mostly all I do is go to work and go home and read, craft, or watch TV. I think I'm just itching for garage sale season. Our weather has been gorgeous lately, we hit the 70s twice last weekend. That is very strange for February in Iowa. I know it's going to get colder and we're getting snow the end of the week. I think I'm just ready for the weather to be nice and not have to worry about what might be coming.

2. What's something you're always fishing for in your purse, wallet, desk, or kitchen junk drawer? My chapstick. My lips always seem to be chapped or dry, so I have about 20 tubes of it, can I ever find them? No. Thankfully they are cheap.

3. Your favorite fish tale or movie? I just recently watched Finding Dory. That was wicked cute. Baby Dory, with her giant eyes, yes. Plus all the other characters, loved that movie.

4. Are you sunrise, daylight, twilight or night? Explain why you chose your answer. I think I'm more daylight. Like I said, I love walking to garage sales. I'm not big on staying out at night, and I have a wicked hard time getting out of bed in the morning.

5. What's the oldest piece of clothing you own and still wear? Probably some of my bras. I don't like shopping for those and they don't really wear out, so I never shop for them.

6. We've got one more month of (officially) winter here in the Northern hemisphere. Are you feeling the need for a getaway? What's been the best and worst part of your winter so far? I am actually going to Chicago the week of St Patrick's Day. I'm excited about it, I feel I kind of just need to get away from life for awhile.
Worst: When I was at the bookstore in early January, there was one Sunday where it was -15 outside and the windchill was -30. I'm not a fan of the cold weather, especially when I have to go out in it. If it was cold and I could just curl up at home, I'd be fine. We also had an ice storm on Martin Luther King Jr., Day. I hated that, we skated everywhere for the next few days, you couldn't even walk on the grass because there was this thin coat of ice on everything.
Best: but also on that note, when it's wicked cold, it's been nice and cozy in my apartment, I love just being here and curling up on the couch with my computer. I guess I could also say these 70 degree days we've been having.

7.  The Wednesday Hodgepodge lands on National Margarita Day...will you be celebrating? Frozen or on the rocks? Are you a Jimmy Buffet fan? If so, what's your favorite JB tune? I don't drink. I don't like the taste of alcohol. My favorite alcoholic drink is actually a mudslide. I'm not a huge Jimmy Buffet fan either, I think the only one I've heard is Alan Jackson's It's Five O'Clock somewhere, where he comes in at the end.

8.  Insert your own random thought here.
Like I said above I'll be heading to Chicago for the week of St Patrick's Day, that's spring break here. I haven't been on vacation since my family went to Charleston, SC a few years ago for Christmas. It's interesting the difference in our planning. My parents decided we need to plan this trip, all I want to do is relax, maybe wander off and explore some neighborhoods. I'm really not interested in having all my days completely planned out.

Valentine's thrift store excursion

I don't really like Valentine's Day, so I planned a shopping trip with my boss for yesterday. She said that day worked for her, so we went out for lunch and then went to a few thrift stores in Des Moines, which is about an hour away. I never go to Des Moines, it was really fun.
We went to a place called Zombie Burger for lunch, basically it has all kinds of burgers and sandwiches named with Zombie names. I'm not sure what mine was called, but it was a portobello deep fried with fixings of a hamburger, it was wonderful.
Our first stop was Salvation Army, I don't go to Salvation Army much, but I learned as we were browsing, they will try to sell anything. It's amazing what they had for sale. The premise of this trip was to get some cool clothes, but as you'll see, I didn't end up with that many clothes.
I did get this shrug for $2.99, the dinosaur, Rainbow Sprite and frog were 49 cents, the elephant was 69cents and a calendar I forgot to put in the picture (it's so pretty, it's a whole bunch of lions and other wild animals at this animal sanctuary) was 50cents.
Next stop was a nicer thrift store, I don't remember what it was called:
Here's where I got my shirts, the black is a sleeveless with a cool detailing around the collar, the purple has a whole bunch of purple ribbon on the front, the pinkish one is more of a sleeveless. I picked up the potholder for a swap I'm in. I picked up the ladybug coaster for a friend.
Next up was a thrift shop where the proceeds went toward feeding animals.
Christmas stickers, a vintage pipe cleaner creature kit, Super Mario stained glass kits, doilies, a heart dish and a tin of K&Company ephemera. I couldn't pass up the stickers or the vintage pipe cleaner kit. I also loved the Super Marios, I'm hoping to paint them and give them to friends. I bought the heart dish for my mom. I thought I'd use the doilies to make some wands.
Next up was another Salvation Army
I found this cute stuffed elephant
I'd read of pay by pound Goodwills and while they sound interesting, when I found we had one, I realized I don't really like them. I don't like digging, I also thought it was sad that any games were scattered throughout the giant bins you have to dig through. There were a ton of beanie babies in there, and I mostly bought stuffed animals because they were cute, and basically free. It was also about 8pm and I was getting mighty tired.
Two piglets, a sheep, some kind of green monster, a teddy bear, a strange bunny key chain, the bunny from Secret Life of pets, a set of butterfly info cards, two crocheted (knitted)? flowers.
Last stop was another Goodwill:
a pack of MAMBI 12x12 paper, cards, a heart dish matching the other one I found, an owl figurine, a card game. I had to pick up the paper, I had found a few packs of plain cardstock with less than this pack had, also 12x12, at one of the Salvation Armies for $4.99, this pack was $2.99, plus it has specialty papers of foiled, and glossy. It was rather cool I found this heart dish that perfectly matches the other one I found, I'm planning on giving them to my mother for Mother's Day or her birthday. I loved the owl figurine, it didn't have a price on it, and when they came back with a price of $2.99, I probably shouldn't have paid that much for it.
Here are a few more things I picked up there.
an owl pillow, stuffed bee, a few movies. I had a really hard time passing up the really cute, soft stuffed animals. I did make sure there were no rips or stains on them. The movies are Heathers, Braveheart, and The Green Mile. I probably shouldn't have paid about $3 for each of them either.

I had a really fun time. Like I said, I don't like Valentines since I've been single, Tuesdays are my normal days off, so I knew I'd be at home bummed. We thought we should do it again, I hope next time to actually buy clothes. I also didn't get anything for Valentine's Day which I expected.

I really want to go shopping at the after Valentine's sales. I wanted to go today until I remembered I had to work a game tonight. I did just go to all the stores last Friday and I don't need anything else, but I love getting the chocolate cheaper and I want to see if Hobby Lobby has any somewhat cheaper double sided 12x12 papers. I made a stuffed envelope the other day with a 12x12 paper and while I like how it turned out, I wish I had something with better designs on both sides.

Package in the mail

When I first started shopping online, one of my favorite stores was SkyBluePink. I haven't been there in a long time, so I went over there in late January and read that they would be closing their shop in March, so I decided to do one more purchase. I bought a pack of assorted game cards for $1.00, and a surprise box. Usually they are pretty quick with shipping, but because of the store closing they have had a lot of orders, it took them two and a half weeks to send it, but when they did, it got here in two days.
Here's what I got:
I thought I'd do some close-ups of each of the products. The game cards are in their own little bag on the right side and the stencil at the top are the only two items that weren't included in the surprise box. The surprise box is listed as $50 worth of surprise box. This is from their website: "You will find anything and everything in there -- ribbons, brads, beads, charms, game pieces and who knows what! Everything is brand new, unused merchandise."
Here is what I got in the surprise box:
7gypsies seam binding pack, 1 yard per design.
Darice charms, aluminium coin charms, silver plated 72 pieces.
a very long strip of red punchinella, what is left over when confetti is punched.
 zebra striped ribbon.
We R memory keepers washi tape, gold metallic tape, three rolls, 78 feet total, one 7mm solid color, one 10 mm gold stripes, and one 15 mm polka dots.
Making Memories mailbox alphabets, self-adhesive, extra vowels, celery color, 12 letters.
BoBunny buttons, c'est la vie buttons, 21 pieces, there are wood, plastic and chipboard buttons.
Creative Impressions fleur de lis brads, 50 pieces.
BoBunny brads, penny emporium brads, 19 pieces
Stanislaus imports mini puzzle pieces, 200 pieces. I wonder if I put these together would I actually have a full puzzle?
American Crafts Primo ribbon, yellow/white twine, 5 yds.
SmoochSpritz, limolicious color, .37 fl oz. I'm not entirely sure what this is, it's in a tiny spray bottle and the back says: " Perfect of creating shimmering backgrounds on cardstock, chipboard, stencils, wood. Shake well before using."
 a tiny canvas, 2x3 inches.
Embellishment Village Angelina "Hot Fix" straight cut fibers, 1/2 oz. I remember using some of this when I worked in a mixed media store, it can be bonded when it's heated up.

Tiny playing cards, they are 1 1/4" round, 52 cards.
 Paper accents tags, 2 1/8 x 4 1/4 inches, 25 pieces, 5 colors.

7gypsies mini ephemera pack, 15 pieces.
Tim Holtz ideaology ephemera pack, 70 pieces.
Here's the card pack:
It's 40 pieces of assorted cards. I originally got them to wrap my washi around, but they took so long to get here, I bought a deck of cards at the Dollar Store while I was waiting.
Here's the stencil:
It's a surprise goodie pack they give you when they overestimate the shipping. It's not always a stencil, it's just something they have in inventory.

A lot of this turned out to be kinda mixed media. I don't think I've gotten the surprise box before, I loved getting the ephemera boxes, like the kitchen sink. (I don't have links up because, things are just listed under different headings on their website, there's not a link to a specific product, just the page it's on.) Wendy of Re-Used Muse on Youtube is having a challenge and she likes mixed media, maybe I'll use some of this stuff for that.

Life happened

So, It's been awhile, cause that always seems to happen. I've just been creating for swaps, and being a lump on my couch. Check out my other blog to see what I've been creating, here.
One of my facebook groups, we send each other gifts every month. I was a little bummed because my December partner flaked on me. I put together what I thought was a really good package and then I never got anything in return, to top it off, she told the group hostesses that I was being rude to her and then left the group. I know I could still get in touch with her through messenger, but I decided to just let it go, that's just part of swapping. Most of the time people come through and honor their commitments, but sometimes they don't and since we can't go to their house and yell at them, we just accept it. For the January swap, the hostess said she'd pair me up with someone really good. (I've had a couple packages get lost in the mail, and a couple get to me late, and I've angeled a few times, I don't know if I'll stay in the group.)
I did get a great partner for January, here's what she sent me:
How cool is that box? And it was packed to the gills:
I love that owl, he's sitting on the couch staring at me. Also, there's chocolate, vintage lace, a giant paperclip, some felt hearts, hot chocolate, page flags, some time pens, strawberry candy, erasers and stickers.
But, there's more:
heart bling, sticky notes, card bases, a notebook, some clips, cards, stickers, stamps, lace, a Valentine banner, paper clips and some library cards and pockets. I'm not sure how she got it all in the box, no matter what I do, it doesn't all go back in it.
And still, more:
a scarf, socks, ribbon, washi, flat back pearl strips, and chocolate.
I sent her a book, some double stick tape, chocolate, pens, stickers, sticky notes, highlighters and some paperclips.
I went to Walmart the last day of January and picked up a few things:
There was more, but these are the exciting things. Both of the Wonder Woman shirts were on clearance for $3, they are the junior size, so I got them extra big. I really like them, except the white one is very see-through, but I have a lot of tank tops, so it's not an issue. The cactus guy was $4, I bought him mostly because people have been talking about picking up the cactus stuffed animals from Target for $5 and I wanted one, I love this guy though. The emoji guy was $2.98, I couldn't believe he was that cheap, and I'm loving the emojis.
My hair is getting really long:
See what I mean about that shirt being see through, you can see my leggings through it. Anywho, my hair hits about below my breasts, and I'm not sure what to do with it. I put it in a braid every day, but I'm thinking I'll have to figure out something else soon, because the little wisps come undone around my ears and drive me crazy.
My co-worker was cleaning out and found some vintage buttons for me. These are my favorite from the bag she gave me:
Has anyone seen the cherry looking one in the middle of the picture? It looks like that old plastic from the 50's-60's that I can't remember the name of. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be a pair of cherries or not, there is a loop on the back of each cherry. I also love the glass ones. There is a pink glass one in the middle by the cherries, and a bunch of black glass ones. There's a tiny black glass leaf at the bottom. There's also a couple broken black glass ones.
The weather has been weird this week. Monday, it was in the 50's, Tuesday it dropped down to the 30's and was foggy, Wednesday there was a couple inches of snow on the ground, Thursday it was in the teens and felt much colder, and the wind just kept getting worse throughout the day, today it's supposed to be back in the 50's.
I decided to get out and enjoy the weather a bit today, so I went shopping. I was going to go to BAM, Walmart, Target, Dollar Tree, JoAnn's, and Hobby Lobby, but that didn't happen. I started out towards BAM because I've been wanting a day-by-day calendar but no one really has a great selection. BAM is about 1.5 miles from my house, and I don't have a car, so I got out my music.
I got in there and they said a lot of things were 50% off, but I went straight to the calendars. I saw this cool one:
I didn't need a wall calendar, but it had some cute pictures.
I was very proud of myself for only picking up the calendars, but I did pick up two.
Mostly because they were all $3, so why not. I'm pretty sure they were about $15 each regular price. I really wanted one with pictures of cute animals, but I settled for these.
Next up was Walmart, it's probably about a half mile from BAM, maybe not even that much.
I put back the bralette, underwear and sleep wear set that I kinda needed, and spent about $30 on all this:
I had picked up the tape a while back (probably the last time I went shopping) to see how it compared to the stuff I get at Hobby Lobby. I've decided I like it, especially when I can get 8 rolls (I picked up two packs) for less than 4 at Hobby Lobby. I picked up the fox and arrows gift bags for friends, I thought the donut one would make some cute paperclips, plus I have a sweet treats flip book to make. I picked up the two rolls of duct tape because they were on sale for $1.50, and who doesn't need duct tape. I picked up the stuffed strawberry because I'd seen the donut last time and didn't pick it up, I saw it this time too, but I liked the strawberry better. The stuffed heart emoji is for a friend. The bottle at the end is Minute Maid it was on clearance for a buck, so I thought I'd try it. The Valentine's stickers were too cute. The Christmas animal stickers were 2 cents, the owls were 10 cents, and sadly the elves rang up normal.
Next was Target:
The thing I love most about Valentine's day is the chocolate, I haven't really been into it this year, though. My cartwheel had 20% of Ghiradelli squares so I picked up the two hearts, and I'm not gonna pass up the Lindt. The frog was 5, and the rest was from the dollar spot. I love the feathers on the sticky notes. I've been wanting the envelopes stickers since I saw them on someone's Target haul. I love these tags, they have banners sewn onto them. The sticky notes say "hello, you look" and then a whole bunch of adjectives. I just picked up the cards to have some nice bases. I remembered to give the checkout guy my cartwheel and remind him about the 5 cents off for having my reusable bag, but I forgot about my gift cards. I remembered about halfway through the parking lot, thankfully they let me put it on them.hadn
Next up was Dollar Tree:
hand sanitizer, playing cards, bandages, lanyard, whack a balloon, pens, bookmark, and tape. The hand sanitizer, lanyard, decorative pens, bookmark and whack a balloons are for swaps. I like to send washi samples out on playing cards and of course lost my stash of them. Who can pass up minion bandages (I bought two of those)? I've seen people saying Dollar Tree was carrying the G2 pens, which is a good deal because normally a pack of 4 is about $5, until I remembered a refill pack of 3 is a little over $1, oh well. I picked up the pink/purple pens for me. I seem to have lost my clear tape recently, cause that's how my life is.
My Dollar Tree was rumored to have issues with mice recently and they haven't had candy/food for awhile, apparently I got a little excited when I saw it was back. Basically everything is for me. The gummy carrots and tiger pops are for Easter (I realize it's a little ways away), the emoji lollipop is for a swap.
gift bag, foam glitter sheet, stickers. The gift bag, glitter sheets and frame stickers are for a swap. The rest are for me, cause stickers.
After spending $30 at Dollar Tree, I decided I didn't need to spend more at Hobby Lobby or JoAnn's especially since a friend and I are going thrift store shopping for clothes next week. So, I headed over to Burger King, picked up lunch and went home.

I've been really bummed lately, I think I just don't like February. First, Valentine's Day, not just because I'm single. When my ex broke up with me, it became real on Valentine's Day. He hadn't talked to me in awhile and I just kept hoping he would, but I knew when he didn't get me anything or even call/text me on Valentine's Day, we were over. Second, one of my good friends died last year in early February. And I guess I'm just ready for spring.

What's up with everyone else?
