A little fix

And, yes, I'm a little late on this one too, and it's not very exciting. I haven't had time lately to work on cleaning out my craft closet. I went on a mini vacation to Okoboji (north part of the state) this weekend, got back on Monday, worked for a few hours, then started full time yesterday, and I was thinking tomorrow was Wednesday.
So, on my way to work yesterday, the strap for my shoulder bag slid right out of it's stitching (or rather the stitching had been giving away, and finally went altogether yesterday). Last night I sat in front of the TV and restitched one side in and then
Saw the other side was coming loose and reinforced that as well. Once again, the photos are a little blurry, they look soo clear on the camera, then I upload them on the computer and they're blurry. I used some quilting thread I bought a few years ago, it's really strong, so any time I need some heavy duty thread, out it comes. I hope this will hold, if it doesn't I'll just have to find another bag, I got this bag a few years ago for $5.00 at Walmart. It's big enough to hold a notebook and some books, so it's really nice for $5

Go over and see Julia, she'll have tons of other spaces to check out. I love your comments.

I know how you feel when you have a bag that fits its purpose, you just have to repair it and hang on to it as long as you can.

Its so great to read that someone actually repairs something they love rather than just going out and buying something new!

Enjoyed visiting your blog and work space! Your guinea pig is too cute! The flooding is unbelieveable! Bet you are glad you live on a third floor. lol We have had our share of flooding, but it has been the bathrooms for us as we have had our water lines break in the tub and shower:( Now to fix a couple of floors and walls.

Nice job on fixing your purse. Is it holding together still? Tooks at look at your pinks, lovely. Been a long time since I have been to Lake Okoboji.

Good for you for repairing your purse. I have one I want to fix, too. It's real leather and worth hanging onto.

Did you have a good trip - have the floods subsided? I'm late enough to see the purchases you made - oh my that album and photos - marvellous. Glad to see you mended your bag..you must find it a good size etc to go to that trouble.
