A day of fun

OK, so it's been a couple days since I've posted, you'll get over it.
I've been pretty much working and hanging out with Kevin. Working and having fun, what more could a person want? ;)
Had to work Fri, Sat, and Sun for our grand opening at the store. Unfortunately there were a ton of things going on here and just down the road, so didn't have a lot of customers. Therefore, I only got Monday off instead of Sun and Mon like I'm supposed to. But it was fun having Mon off.
Kevin now has a class in the mornings, so we don't get to chat on AIM before I go to work. Anyways, Monday, I had to get my glasses rearranged since someone (Kevin) hit me in the face with a volleyball on Fri night. So, we went to lunch at the mall, killed time, got my glasses fixed and were going to go mini-golfing, but the place didn't open til 3. We killed more time, we went to a toy store downtown, and by the time we left, you could tell the storeowner really wanted us to leave. We were kinda acting like kids. We sweated and majorly sucked at mini-golf, then went walking in the river, I got us totally lost in the woods. I thought we were supposed to go down one trail, that led us to a run-off of the river, so we walked quite a ways before we actually found the river, and then a bit more before we actually went in.
I've decided I want a tadpole, they're so fun to squish (no I didn't squish any to death), we had to cross the river to get back, by the time we actually got in it, so we both got pretty well soaked, especially after slipping and landing on our asses, that was entertaining.
We dried off (at our respective apts), washed his truck, went to Village Inn for supper and came back to my house to listen to a joke CD, where Kevin promptly fell asleep on my bed for about 10 minutes.
But it was fun, I wouldn't mind another day of acting like kids, makes the rest of the week worthwhile, and ok to live with. I was complaining after we got back to his truck how he's always making fun of me, he said he only makes fun of/laughs at people he likes.

UGH!!! George showed up right on schedule today, so while I'm feeling like crap (why the hell do I always have to get cramps?) I get to mow the lawn, shower and go to work for 8 hours, lucky me.

She may believe you but I never will

Wow, its been awhile since I posted (me who posts almost everyday), this is what happens when you have stuff to do during the day, and are tired when you get home from work. I now understand why other people don't update everyday.
I will not complain about my work. I know my boss is on the internet quite a bit during the day, and knows how to use the internet, I'm sure if she really wanted to she could find this blog. I also don't have the desire to complain about work to you people (not that you're bad, but I don't know most of my regular readers other than that they read me, and I read their blogs).
So, with that in mind, I will be commenting on some of the stuff the customers do/say when they're in the store. I work in a crafts store. I am the only employee as my boss opened this store not so long ago, and really hasn't had the time to look for anyone else, plus she would like someone with an art background. So a couple things I've seen within the past week.
I had some kid with a box of food come in last week and start a little speil (sp?) about how he was with such-and-such group and that by buying this stuff I would be helping these kids stay off the street, or something like that, I stopped him and told him I wouldn't be able to buy any because I was working. I just thought it so messed up that one would walk into a business and peddle their wares, maybe its just me.
Today, I had a lady and a little girl (maybe about 6?) come in and the girl starts walking into our back part, which I told her "this is where the store ends", the lady with her asks if she heard that, and then went on to say the girl was used to being next door (a place where little kids frequent) and wandered all over that store as if that was a good enough reason for her to wander into the back area. I was thinking, I don't care lady, take responsibility and tell her yourself she can't go back there, doesn't matter if it's not your kid, she's still with you.
Also, we have some pigment dyes (dust) in jars and I had two people attempt to open them. These will fly all over and make a horrible mess if opened with the jar tilted (you know how people hold jars when opening them). I told them "Don't open that" (simple and understandable, right), they replied "Don't?" as if I hadn't said it clearly enough before. And one of these people was with her friend, they were about college age, early 20's and were talking about Ipods, after I told her not to open the dye, she lowered her voice, apparently realizing I could hear her whole conversation.
Had a woman come in and chat with my boss, she was saying how she lived in one of the lower rent places in town and paid under 50% of her rent because she was low-income but "not proud or ashamed of it" because "she was looking for full-time work, and everyone was looking for part-time workers" I was thinking, well shit if you're only paying that much of your rent, wouldn't you take the job even if it was only part-time, maybe you could move up to full-time.

Before the big monies came and shut them down

Is there anyone else who wants to give me hurtful news? Just to see if I can take it all in one week? That way, if I can't not one person could be blamed? Anyone?
Yesterday, K, told me that the officers at the PD here, don't like me as a rider, that they fight over who HAS to take me when I do a ride-along. Everyone knows my name WW as the girl who likes to do ride-along's and its a bad thing. I'd really like to know what was going through his head when he told me. I don't care if that's what they think about me (OK I really do), but I don't want to know.
Last year after doing my ride-along, I learned there's a 1 yr waiting period between ride-along's, I asked my friend B, why. He said it was because there was a rider none of the officers like coming on them, he said it wasn't me, but I'm thinking now, it is. I mean, come on, who's gonna come out and tell me they don't like me riding along?
Lucky for the officers, I have no desire to go on any more ride-along's anytime soon. That was a personal conclusion I came to last year after my last one.
And now, that I have a job, I can't even take the time to be hurt. Because we all know the world doesn't stop for anyone. I'd love to call in sick, but I know my boss has a dr's appt today, and is counting on me to be there.

Mile marker 203

Last week or so it rained very hard here. My neighbors have a little Pomeranian (sp?) and they recently cut its hair so it looks like a big Chiuahua (sp?). Anyways, the other day when it rained, it was outside in the pouring rain barking its head off, so I went over and rescued it, sticking it on our back porch and drying it off. We called the neighbors and left a message on their machine. I sat with Chewy (the dog) for 2 hours and then the rain let up and I had other things to do (and didn't want to smell like wet dog for the rest of the night), so I stuck it back outside. We haven't heard a thank you back from these people.
I saw Chewy out today after I finished the lawn and wandered over to say hi. He's such a cute nice little dog. Anyways I was thinking, the poor guy sits outside the whole time our neighbors are at work. He's a little yippy dog, you can't just stick it outside with nothing to do and expect it's going to be ok for hours at a time. You have to either get 2 dogs, or play with it.
Some people really need to research their pets before getting them.

Sorry, just had to rant.

Back when the old stuff was new

So, this weekend was the first time I ran into bitchy bikers. Me and dad had to go to the gas station to get some gas for the mower on Sunday. We're at the pump and these bikers roll up, the ones with the big cushy bikes, older bikers, guys with chicks on the back, all dressed up like they just got done with a ride. One of them rolls up behind me and dad like we weren't using the pump. I think he was trying to intimidate us with him being a biker and all. Yeah, good luck intimidating me buddy. Once I finished pumping the gas, I made a mess, so I was cleaning it up with the paper towels they have out there, and I asked one of the chicks where they had gone on their ride and she just ignored me. So much for the theory all bikers bond. I had one of my Harley shirts on, so my kitty was showing, so it was visible that I was a biker.
Maybe they thought I was just one of those people that wanted to be a biker and wasn't actually, I don't know. I've just never run into bikers so rude like that. Yes, I know they exist (thank you people), I just hadn't run into any. Oh well, I'm not gonna let 4 bikers ruin my thoughts about the rest of us.

This is what it costs to keep us free

UGH! What is wrong with the people of this country? Is it so hard to take an hour out of your day to honor the people who gave you a privilege to have this day off from work? Is it so hard to stop what your doing to watch a parade honoring them? To walk down to the cemetery and listen to a program honoring them? I don't give a damn if you agree with the war or not, that's not what today is about. These people died so you could have the choice of honoring them or not. Is it so hard to listen to the list of people in the armed forces that died in the last year? To listen to speeches honoring the dead? To listen to Taps played to honor the dead? And why the hell can't you turn your cell phones off for 30 minutes? Is anything that important that you need to talk on them during this time.
My parents and I went to the cemetery after the parade (which was pathetic, by the way, is it so hard to donate your time to walk in a parade honoring the people that gave you your freedoms?), and my parents decided they had to go home before the program was over. What's so important they couldn't wait for 20 minutes you ask? I don't know, when I got home after the program, they were sitting on the front porch enjoying the weather.
The people in this country are so full of themselves that they don't realize what happened in the past to give them to opportunity to do what they want on this day, to give them a day off from work. It's fucking wrong.

Arlington by Trace Adkins

I never thought that this is where I'd settle down,
I thought I'd die an old man back in my hometown,
They gave me this plot of land, me and some other men, for a job well done,
There's a big white house sits on a hill just up the road,
The man inside he cried the day they brought me home,
They folded up a flag and told my mom and dad, we're proud of your son

And I'm proud to be on this peaceful piece of property,
I'm on sacred ground and I'm in the best of company,
I'm thankful for those thankful for things I've done,
I can rest in peace, I'm one of the chosen ones,
I made it to Arlington

I remember daddy brought me here when I was eight,
We searched all day to find out where my granddad lay,
And when we finally found that cross,
He said, "Son this is what it cost to keep us free"
Now here I am, a thousand stones away from him,
He reconized me on the first day I came in,
And it gave me a chill when he clicked his heels, and saluted me.

And I'm proud to be on this peaceful piece of property,
I'm on sacred ground and I'm in the best of company,
I'm thankful for those thankful for things I've done,
I can rest in peace, I'm one of the chosen ones,
I made it to Arlington

And everytime I hear twenty-one guns,
I know they brought another hero home to us

We're thankful for those thankful for the things we've done,
We can rest in peace, 'cause we are the chosen ones,
We made it to Arlington, yea dust to dust, don't cry for us,
We made it to Arlington

Because I can't say it any better, go here.

It's more than a day off from work

Please take a moment to remember the people who died to keep us free while you're out grilling with your families.

can't you see what the world has done

I was doing my stats this morning, and some of the shit people look up, and then come to my site for is just wrong. I've had quite a few searches for:

Reba's boob job - Ya know from the ACM's last week,

Thank god for turnip greens - which isn't even the real line, the full line is "Thank god for good directions and turnip greens, now I'll get all the searches for that

Cops - from various cities and various officers, I don't see the need to list them all

Derrick Pendergrass - there've been quite a few for him lately, so he gets a separate line ;) (sorry Officer Pilutik)

dirty old men - or some form of that, those searches have been down lately, most likely cause I'm not up in the top results, now I've changed that.

Jason Aldean - different renditions of him, mostly his cowboy hat, though I did have one for his tattoo last week, hell I didn't even know he HAD a tattoo

The strange ones I've had recently:

cops cameraman - like I really know anything about that, like I even give a damn, try the cops website

how to Blow Myself - and thank you so much for coming to my site to find out, jackass

sunglasses worn by Carrie Underwood in before he cheats video - why the hell would you care about that, if you're gonna be looking about stuff in music videos, how about the car in Red Dirt Road by Brooks N Dunn, or the car in Wherever You Are by Jack Ingram, focus on the important stuff people (by the way, if anyone knows what those cars are, I'd be interested in the answer)

bleeding beneath the toe - I don't think I'm the person you should be taking medical advice from, one of my readers maybe, but certainly not me. I'm guessing the medical community would frown upon my response to any kind of accidents: if it hurts, ignore it; if it's bleeding, apply pressure, elevate, and ignore it.

And of course quite a few for song lyrics, also don't feel like listing them all. As much as I love getting visitors, I know most of these people, if not all will not return to read me again.

When I was checking out my stats I was listening to the top 40 countdown (?), mostly because it was the only station without church crap, or nascar crap on, also cause there was a good song on it when I was passing by. Anyways I used to listen to this when I was younger and Casey Casem (sp?) was doing it, now its Ryan Seacrest, who's stupid thought was it to pass it on to him. It's so wrong. Another good thing ruined due to someone's idiotic idea.

Thank you blogger for your autosave, its so nice on days like this when my IE is being an ass, this way I don't lose anything.

I get to go on my walk today, I'm very happy about that. When I first started working I was going to go on it once I got off, but my feet are so tired from standing for 5 -6 hours, all I wanna do is come home and sit. Hopefully, I'll either be standing less, or my feet will get used to standing and I can do my walks more often than the 2 days I have off. Cross your fingers.

You're part of my entity

Seems pretty typical, that the one time I don't watch Cops, one of my favorite hotties was on it. Sigh.
Now, because I haven't given one of these in weeks and Officer Pilutik is one of my FAVORITE hotties, he's adding it to his shelf, just 'cause he was on, how's that for cool.

Very sorry I missed you, Officer P ;)

She's a product of a me generation

So, I was thinking the other day (because those damn tampax upgrade commercials are always on Yahoo), my upgrade now is my friend K in his truck. I was also thinking, I don't really care if there's anything there, it would be nice but I am very content just hanging out. It's nice to have someone thats free when you call them up and wanna do something. :) We went to Pirates of the Caribbean 3 last night, K, me, Karli and Karli's friend Jason. It was nice. Got there kinda late, so sat in the 2nd row, kinda too close for me. There were a couple scenes where they flipped the boat upside down, and the whole screen seems to flip with it, that was a little much for me. Then we went out to a couple bars afterward (shouldn't have done that), do all guys get annoying once they get alcohol into them? Then K and I came back here and watched SWAT (also shouldn't have done that), I had a little nap in the middle of it. Hopefully I can stay awake all day today, I don't think it will be much of a problem, just gotta pack a lot of pop, I have a sandwich left over from supper, and I can rustle up some desert. (Happy sigh).
Hopefully, this will be a new theme here, where I'm just happy with everything that's going on in my life.

Why is it, every time I go to the movies, all the previews look good? The Golden Compass is coming out, its a trilogy (in books, one movie), that I heard was supposed to come out this past Jan, so I've been waiting and it looks great. Die Hard 4, no explanation needed. Ratoulli (probably spelling that wrong), cg'ed rat chef in France, National Treasure: Book of something. Also, Ghostrider is coming out on DVD June 12th, I'm very excited about that. Remember this? I loved that movie.

Also, I heard this song the other day and made me think about someone, that I'm finally over. I deleted a message I received from him on Valentine's Day 2 years ago the other day. That's gotta be a pretty good sign I'm over him right? I'm bolding the lines that relate to my 'relationship' with him.

There is No Arizona by Jaime O'Neal

He promised her a new and better life, out in Arizona

Underneath the blue never ending sky, swore that he was gonna
Get things in order, he'd send for her
When he left her behind, it never crossed her mind
There is no Arizona
No painted desert, no Sedona
If there was a Grand Canyon
She could fill it up with the lies he's told her
But they don't exist, those dreams he sold her
She'll wake up and find
There is no Arizona

She got a postcard with no return address, postmarked Tombstone
It said "I don't know where I'm goin' next but when I do
I'll let you know"
May, June, July, she wonders why
She's still waiting, she'll keep waiting 'cause

There is no Arizona
No painted desert, no Sedona
If there was a Grand Canyon
She could fill it up with the lies he's told her
But they don't exist, those dreams he sold her
She'll wake up and find
There is no Arizona

Each day the sun sets into the west
Her heart sinks lower in her chest and
Friends keep asking when she's going
Finally she tells them don't you know

There is no Arizona
No painted desert, no Sedona
If there was a Grand Canyon
She could fill it up with the lies he's told her
But they don't exist, those dreams he sold her
She'll wake up and find
There is no Arizona

He promised her a new and better life, out in Arizona

Cupid works for the devil

So, I was mowing my lawn today, and when I got out there, there's 2 people standing there talking. One on the sidewalk and one in the middle of my lawn, then they got pissed at me because I was mowing my lawn. Someone's gotta explain the logic in that to me, cause I don't understand
I think I have a lack of sleep hangover, if that makes any sense. Sunday night, my friend Kevin came over about 10, we watched a movie and continued to talk until 5:30 AM. So yesterday, after he left I went to bed, got about 4 hours of sleep. And then was going to go to bed at 10, until Kevin called me and we talked about an hour. And today, my body is just tired. Course pair that with the fact that I haven't had anything substantial to eat since about 7pm on Sunday. And of course George has been visiting since Friday.
After I mowed the lawn, I was eating ice cream. I forgot how good ice cream tastes. I haven't had any in awhile due to the fact my freezer won't work. But I'm getting a new fridge today, so maybe that can change. And maybe the stuff in my fridge will be cold. Not that it was really warm, just not so cold. I was talking with Karli yesterday, and she was commenting on the fact I seem to be getting a lot of stuff lately. It's not my fault everything seems to be at the end of its life. Course we've lived here about 21 years, so I guess that's a good life for a lot of things. Unless you're a person.
Speaking of new stuff, I finally made the appointment to get my countertop in for my bathroom sink. The sink/vanity has a 3 to 4 inch gap on the north side between the sink and the wall. Now we all knew that was gonna be there (I was informed after the sink was put in), but the counter/sink is supposed to go over to the wall, there's supposed to be a spacer stick put in to match the cabinet and there's supposed to be side splashes to match the countertop on the walls, so it kinda looks built in. Yes, I will post a pic, when it's done. I'll stick 2 up so you can see the difference. Hopefully that's supposed to be done Thurs before I go to work. Cross your fingers and hold your breath.
So I broke my granite table yesterday. I was upset (no idea why) and I wanted to beat something, but not fuck up my hand (since, I seem to be real good at that), so I took one of my many empty alcohol bottles and was trying to break it (cause that would show I was really pissed). Glass bounces off of wood, and granite, who knew? I didn't do too much damage, I just have to rotate the top, so you can't see the gouge in the side. I figured the table would break teh bottle not the other way around, oh well.
And of course on my walk (before my fun with the bottle), I got some new blisters, which also don't make sense in the world of logic. My toes were rubbing together, who gets blisters from their toes rubbing together (other than me, cause I'm just talented, or fucked up, pick one). By the time I got to city hall, one of them was bleeding, city hall is about 3 blocks from home. And it took me 15 minutes to get home. Now that's fucked up.

Tavern on Main

Cincinnati, OH:
I remember why I love watching Cops so much (other than the hottie cops), you don’t need a scripted movie to get entertainment.
The guy replies “That ain’t even my plate” after being pulled over by the officers. And yet, he’s driving the car, might not be your plate, but it’s on the car you’re driving, so they’re treating it like it’s your car.
And its always fun to see the reaction of someone being tased.
Palm Springs, CA:
In this one, the officers were called to a hotel room because of an excess of phone calls, so they look in the room and there happens to be a crack pipe under the mattress. There’s a chick and a guy, the guy says he just got out of the shower, he says “Smell my body” Yeah, like the officers are gonna do that, his hair is dry, and then he starts saying he just walked in from work. Then they start saying the people didn’t clean the room before they came in, yeah, sure. And the whole “I swear to God” so obviously they’re telling the truth.
Once again, I feel sorry for what the cops have to go through.
Hamilton County, OH:
Goddess and I were talking about how this couple should be hauled off for wasting the officers’ time, I was saying how many prisons there would be if everyone who wasted cops’ time were arrested. It would be so much better if there was a fine. Then the officers could say “I have to write you a $200 citation for wasting my time” wonder how much money police depts could make off that. My guess, they wouldn’t be short on money.

Throw your suitcase in the back

I know in the past I've had a couple of depressing posts. Well, I am absolutely happy right now, yeah a few things could be better, but this is as great as my life has been lately. I haven't been this happy since I was a little kid and didn't have to worry about anything.
I have a job I like, I have great friends, I have a great guy I hang out with. I am very happy.
Yes, I'm getting used to the job, but I think in a few weeks once the grand opening has happened and we get more customers in the shop, it's going to be a little more relaxing. Yes, my friends and I haven't really seen each other in awhile, but we have been able to talk, and that's better than nothing. Yes, there might be more going on with this guy I hang out with, but I'm very happy just getting together for food, talk, or a movie.
I have had some pretty rough days in the past weeks, and it just feels so good, to have all this stuff happening at the same time, and I'm just so happy about it.
I'm content, and that hasn't been happening for me lately.

[x] I can mow the lawn. I am required to mow the lawn, so I better be able to do the damn thing
[x] I can make adults laugh without being stupid. My life kinda does that itself (making people laugh, not making me stupid)
[] I remember to water my plants. Sadly, no. That's why I don't have real plants
[x] I study when I have to. I love how it says HAVE to
[x] I pay attention at school.

[x] I understand jokes the first time they are said Depends on the joke
[x] I can type fast
[x] I have realized that the weather forecast changes every hour And you can't just go by what it looks like when you leave the house/work/whatever

[x] I realize that no one will take you seriously unless you are over the age of 25 and have a job Also a little messed up. But then people in this world are.
[x] I can read a book and actually finish it I have a tendency to get distracted and it takes me awhile, but I CAN do it.

I'm only 26 :(

I wasn't gonna post this, cause it looks challenging, but the more I think about it, the more I wanna try it, feel free to take and do either of these memes, just tell me so I can read them.

Come on down

So, the Academy of Country Music Awards are on tonight. And of course I'm watching it. Y'all get to enjoy my commentary of it.
I was disagreeing with Goddess (in my mind) the other day about Reba getting a boob job, but shit you can sure tell it tonight. She's wearing a nice V-neck dress, and she kept turning so everyone could get a nice side view of her larger chest. It wasn't like spilling her boobs out for the world to see, but you could definately tell they were larger.
And then Tracy Lawrence and some news anchor came out to present song of the year (I think?) and apparently the country music folk haven't learned from Kenny Rogers that plastic surgery is BAD. He looked about as bad as Kenny, there's no way he aged that way naturally. Y'all should take after Johnny Cash, sure he didn't look great when he got older, but you could tell it was him and natural, he didn't look like he had to smile all the damn time.
George Strait won with Give it away, and I swear he's shrinking, he's an easy 6 foot (or he was), you used to be able to stick him next to Alan Jackson and they were about the same height. Of course, he also seemed kinda disoriented.
And it's nice to see that Miranda Lambert is all grown-up and wears short dresses, with deep cut necks.
Album of the year was Some Hearts by Carrie Underwood. I was thinking Hillbilly Deluxe by Brooks N Dunn should have won.
Little Big Town finally received the award for New Vocal Duo/Group of the Year
I like the duet of Reba and Kelly Clarkson singing Because of You, it sounded great.
And once again, Brooks N Dunn won Top Vocal Duo. No big surprise there, it so needs to be renamed the Brooks N Dunn award on both awards shows (this and Country Music Association).
Entertainer of the Year is Kenny Chesney, another not so big surprise.

Outplay, Outwit, Outlast

So, I'm watching the final Survivor: Fiji. If you watch Survivor, you know the"tribes" go to "tribal council" have a little talk and vote someone off. At a certain point, a "jury" starts to form and then by then end there are 9 people on this "jury". They get to ask the last 2, in this season, 3 people questions as to why they should vote for them to be the winner of 1 million dollars.
So, that's what the "jury" is doing now. I find it so funny how the people on the "jury" are annoyed and furious that people manipulated them throughout the game. Apparently none of them ever watched Survivor before they came on the show, because that's how one "stays alive" throughout the game. And some of these people were absolute bitches, yes we all know you're bitter because you're on the "jury" instead of being considered for the million dollars, GET THE FUCK OVER IT!!!! It's Survivor, that's how it's played. There's one player this time, Dreamz who made a deal with another player, Yauman, when Yau won the car (there has never been a Survivor season where the person that won the car, won the million dollars), Yau told Dreamz that he could have the car (because D was the only one on the island without a car, and was homeless before starting the game, supposedly, cause you never really know), if both of them got to the final 4, and if Dreamz won immunity for that, that Dreamz would give immunity to Yau. What I find funny, is that Dreamz kept saying was that he was a man of his word, he was gonna show in front of everyone (watching) and his children, that he was a man of his word. And then when it gets to the final four and D does get immunity he doesn't give it to Yau. And then at this last "tribal council" he says he was playing the game all along. That I doubt. My guess is he just changed his mind at the last minute becuase he found out there would be 3 people vying for the million dollars.

*****SPOILER**** DON'T READ BELOW THIS LINE IF YOU HAVEN"T ALREADY SEEN THE FINAL EPISODE OF SURVIVOR: FIJI******
And the winner of the million dollars is.....Earl
There wasn't anyone I was really hoping for but out of the 3 that were left, Dreamz, Cassandra, and Earl, I think Earl was the best choice.
In the first time in Survivor history, one person got all of the votes (that being Earl).

I never wanna say goodbye

First of all, I'm wishing my parents a happy anniversary today, they are a few years short of 35 years of marriage. I know they won't read this, and on the hopes of other family members not finding it, I'm not sticking the exact anniversary number here.
Second, everyone wish your mother a Happy Mother's Day tomorrow.
Third, Goddess tagged me in a meme. Which I was entertained by considering she hates meme's.
Here are the rules of the game:
1) Link the post who tagged you.
2) List your top five favorite places to eat, and why.
3) Tag five others.

My top five favorite places to eat (I'm not that picky):

1. Any family get-together on my mom's side, I believe that's self-explanatory.
2. Red Lobster, I love the cheddar biscuits they have, and I have grown to love the steak and lobster tail.
3. Dutch Oven Bakery (they're unique to here), they have some pretty good pastries. I love spending $20 for a box of pastries there. Plus, their egg-salad sandwiches are soo good.
4. West Side Deli (one of the best kept secrets here). They have some yummy ass mushroom sandwiches.
5. Frances. It's a diner/eatery in Chicago, pretty close to my brother's apartment, and we always eat there at least once when we go to Chicago.
6. (in case people don't like my #1). Dairy Queen They are my favorite fast food place to eat.

The other 5 I will pick:
1. Kate (she'll steal my meme's anyway)
2. Sodapop (she usually gives me meme's)
3. Carrie
4. AD (cause I know he breezes by every now and then and he's got a blog, so we'll see if he takes it)

I really don't think I have 5 regulars that I know who they are.

Fourth, I got me a job. I'm ecstatic, though I'm holding off on telling my family. Just cause, I'm finally happy, and I keep thinking something's gonna happen to get me fired. Not that I really think I'll screw up or anything, it's just such a good job, that I'm afraid to believe I actually have it. A new fibers/art store opened here in town and the lady running it is very busy so needed someone to help her out, and I get to be lucky and help. She also said (because she's an artist and sells her stuff at shows) that I might get to go on the road with her. This sounds very close to my perfect job, I really wanna be a full-time artist, but... It's starting out as part-time, but unlike the center, it's a constant each week, so I'm really happy about it.
Also, I have a freind that I believe is becoming more than a friend (see earlier post), but I don't wanna fuck anything up, so I'm letting him make all the moves, and we'll see where it goes.

Everything I am

OK, so I finally got around to watching the COPS episode that was on 2 weeks ago. There was one segment in Brevard County, FL where the officer pulled a guy over and the dude was chewing on/eating marijuana and the cop arrested the guy, searched his car and then let the guy go with his court date. I don't get that. If he's just gonna release the guy, I don't understand why he was able to search the car. It almost seems that he put the guy under arrest just to search the car, though I don't think that's true. Can anyone explain it to me?

Has anyone seen commercials for this new show, Pirate Master? My guess, I'm gonna end up watching it, but I don't understand why you'd want to do it (be in it, not watch it).

Speaking of TV shows, I'm pissed at FOX, and not just becuase they've decided to play NASCAR and other things in place of COPS. If you've paid attention, I got sucked into the show Drive, it started on April 15th for a 2 hour season premiere, had another new episode on the 16th, and another one on the following Monday. And now we're in limbo. I've checked the website and it says tune in for the final 2 episodes this summer. How wrong is that? 6 episodes and the season's over with, it's just wrong.
A bunch of my other shows are done for the season. Amazing Race ended Sunday, model boy and his gf won.
Cold Case ended on Sunday, Lilly Rush (one of the detectives) was shot, and it ended with her hanging onto her life. If CBS drops her, I guarantee I will stop watching the show.
The Search for the next Pussycat Doll (yes, I watched it) ended a couple weeks ago, with Asia winning.
America's Next Top Model (Yes, I watch this) will end next Wed, as will Bones and Medium.
Supernatural will end next Thurs, its supposed to be a two-part finale, so I'm taping and watching it tonight and next Thurs, then I'm gonna watch it all together.
Survivor's 2 hr finale is sunday. I still can't figure out who's gonna win, or at least who's gonna be gone at next tribal council and so on.

Also, for all of you that were Pickett Fences fans way back in the day, the 1st season will finally be coming out on DVD on June 19th.

Lessons I've learned:
5. If it doesn't come off with 409, try Comet

The Man in Black's gonna rock your ass again

So, you should know by now that I am a listmom of a Yahoo! art group, that deals with art trading cards. Anyways, we just had a swap and I sent the cards back to the people. Well, I got an email from one of my members today, saying she hadn't gotten her packet back. And I'm thinking WHAT THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO DO ABOUT IT? I can't go ask the mail carriers where her package is, I can't jump in the mail and find her package. Personally I don't exactly care, ok I care, but there's nothing I can do about it. Everyone loses a package at least once during these things, chalk it up to experience and move on. Sorry needed to vent. And if anyone doesn't know what an art trading card is, google it, you'll get sources.

So lately, I've had the urge to run away (ok more than usual) into the country where life is simple and happy. Anybody got a remedy for this?
These poems were written by me, and if I find out anyone takes them and doesn't ask, I'll have to hunt you down and hurt you, I do have my ways. That being said, enjoy.

My world

As I walk through the country
I feel the wind in my hair
The squishy ground underneath my feet
The smell of country in my nose
I know I belong here
This is where the world talks to me and I can hear it
Don't take me away
I want to spend the rest of my days here
Listening to the birds and nature explain to me about living
But, alas it is not to be
My parents call me to the car
And I am pulled back to
Crowded streets
Cars roaring down them
Lost in the world of now
Until next time

Rolling fields of green and skies of blue
Roads snaking through Iowa countryside
Birds in air on land
Searching for prey
My land, looking for me
A red cardinal in the stark contrast of
Winter months or lush green spring
Tiny paths cutting through wood
Filled with brances and woodland creatures
This is my world where natur and humans collide
Technology and simplicity working alongside each other
Pets mingling with deer and wolves
I'd take the lonely fields over crowded streets any day

Maybe 6 feet ain't so far down

I wonder if anything really bad can happen if you break your toe and don't do anything about it. Course I'm not entirely sure I broke it.
So, we all know I'm not entirely smart at times. Anyways, I mowed my lawn today and was washing off the mower and realized I'd have to hose off the driveway (now that it's paved), so my parents have some boards on the driveway (well they did), so i was moving them out of the way. Then I went inside to make me some lunch, I had this great idea that I would finish cleaning the driveway and eat my lunch on the porch (after being nicely cleaned up). So, I'm back outside cleaning the driveway, when I realized one of the boards was too close to the driveway, so the water and dirt couldn't run off. I moved that board, and the one on top of it decided to slip off onto the ground, so I had to move that one. Of course that one's all slimy and gross, so I thought I'd move it with my foot. BAD IDEA. The board dropped right onto my big toe, sending a shitload of pain for me to experience, and then a couple seconds afterward, started bleeding. Good sign, right? This was (I'm guessing, 4x4x8) a pretty big heavy board when its falling on you. Yes, I was barefoot, also bad idea. And because I'm such a klutz, I know you have to put pressure on blood, which I did with my handy dandy lunch napkins. So, it stopped bleeding pretty quickly. Then it started to hurt more. I had it propped up and wasn't walking on it. That was about 1:00PM this afternoon.
Later, I'm reading on my couch, and I attempt to bend my toe, not really happening. Which I decided was a bad sign, so I made it bend with my hands, BAD IDEA. Now I'm in pain again. It's pretty bad pain, it's brought tears to my eyes. The only other time I've had pain that made me cry was when I had my kidney stone a couple years back.
So, I'm wondering if it's broken. There's a nice white line on my toenail about 1/4" down the toe. It looks like there's blood building up beneath the toenail, though it's not actually bleeding out. And it hurts when I bend (or attempt to bend) it down.
Any suggestions? Other than going to the hospital? I don't have the money and I'm not about to waste my time at the hospital, I've heard stories about how long it takes to get a person in there, esp when it's not life threatening.

I wish...

Last Thurs, I woke up, and real life slapped me in the face. And it sucks, so with that lingering in my mind, I watched Supernatural, and it got me thinking about things.

Last week (5/3), the guys (Dean and Sam) were hunting a Djinn (genie), and the Djinn attacks Dean and makes him think that the Djinn granted his wish that his mother wasn't killed in a fire when he was young. This fire got their dad hunting the supernatural stuff, which brought the boys into the hunt as they grew up. One hunt the dad went off and didn't talk to Dean in awhile, who then went to find Sam and they took up hunting.
Anyways, their life was so great (the father had died of a stroke, apparently they couldn't get him to come for the episode though), Sam was happily in law school and engaged to his girlfriend (who died in a similar fire to the one that killed their mother after Dean recruited him for a hunt), Dean had a girlfriend and was apparently happy. Only he found out that all the people he, Sam, and the father saved, didn't actually get saved in this other life, so he went to find the jen and see what it did. Apparently it made his conscious think the wish was granted while it slowly drained his life away without him knowing it. In the end (after Sam brings him back), Dean's debating if it was actually worth it.
Sam: I'm glad you dug yourself out, Dean. Most people wouldn't of had the strength, would've just stayed.
Dean: You should have seen it, Sammy. You had Jess. Mom was gonna have grandkids.
Sam: Dean, it wasn't real.
Dean: I know. But I wanted to stay. I wanted to stay so bad....Ever since dad, all I can think about is how much this job's cost us. We've lost so much. We've sacrificed so much.
Sam: But people are alive because of you. It's worth it Dean. It is. It's not fair and it hurts like hell, but it's worth it.

It just got me thinking, that what if genies existed and they could grant wishes, or make you think they did. If they actually did this, and I had it happen to me, knowing what was happening with my body, would I leave? If I could have that one wish, would I give up this life for another?

Thank God for turnip greens

Nice to know no one missed me. Course it's only been a week, maybe I shoulda waited longer. There's nothing exciting going on here. Had the electricians come on Fri to do the central air work. I've heard the air conditioning guy is coming back today, but he never talked to me, and no one reminded me last night (which they usually do when someone's coming up, just in case).
Saturday, Karli and I went to the Hog Roast at the local Harley store. I should have taken my camera, I know. With the combination of good looking bikers and bikes, oh well. It was fun, but very painful, as I haven't been out on a ride yet this season. Course the weather makes it feel further into the season than it is (Season starts April 1st, so we're only 1 month into it). Then we went to Panera's for snack (kinda funny since we just ate at the Hog Roast) and a drink, those I.C. things, very good. I ordered one that I thought wouldn't taste like coffee, it still did, but it was kinda like a mudslide, the more I drank it, the less it tasted like coffee, plus the coldness kinda throws it off. And on the way back home a big group (OK not really big, only about 10 bikes) rode past us. It's so painful to hear those pipes and see the bikes and not be on the back of one.
So, then I went on a walk when I got home. Unfortunately all my shoes/sandals give me blisters. So, I took my sandals off about a half-block from my house (bad idea), got about 6 blocks from home and could barely walk. Of course I had to work Extreme Fighting that night. Which, I don't get why people want to watch that, just people beating the crap out of each other, I don't get it. Course I wasn't inside, so maybe that's part of it, I'm thinking not from what I heard from ushers. So, standing on my blistered feet for 6 hours made them not hurt anymore, I'm still trying to figure that out. It was a very poor turn out, we had about 1100 people in the house, with 90 presold tickets. There were so few people, that almost all the ushers were dismissed early, and there was only 1 person at each door. They cleared out the balcony and told people they could sit on the floor if they wanted too. Got home about 12:30 from that and went to bed.
Sunday, I got to mow the lawn. Then me and pig sat out and enjoyed the sun. But, I decided it was too hot for her (it was in the 80's and I can just imagine how hot that's gotta be in a fur coat), so we went back in, not long after we came out. Because it was so warm (it was 86 in my apartment), I spent the rest of the afternoon, sitting on the floor watching TV. It was just too damn hot to do anything. Today promises to be in the upper 80s again.
Figured out that I have known my favorite hott cop for 10 years today. Decided not to email him about it, cause it might be a little stalkerish. Like I need that. Wow, I feel old.

I have $10 that's supposed to last me, I don't know how long.
And my list of shit I need to buy keeps getting longer and longer. Found out today, I need new shoes. Apparently the heels in the ones I have now are pretty much gone. I got home from my walk today, took off my shoes, and my sock was bloody, guess I got a blister and rubbed it bloody and open on my walk.
I wish I could just

Way to go, girl!

I just wanna extend a big CONGRATULATIONS to my friend Carrie. I found out today, she's engaged. I'm really happy for her.

Saturday, April 21, 2007

Wow! That much?

So, I was all impressed with myself the other day because I finished my walk in a little over an hour. I tell everyone it's a 2 mile walk, but I never really knew how long it was. Well I googled 'plot a route' today, found this website where you can plot a run, and found out it's 4.53 miles. It never felt like THAT much walking. I'm gonna have to bookmark this site, so next time I wanna know how far I walked, I'll know. I figured google would have something easy like that on their maps site, but I couldn't find anything for an already figured out route.
I think I'm in shock or something, cause I just never figured it was that much.

I wanna blow myself away

Y'all remember when I said this "the thing with the guy I'm hanging out with lately"? I was planning on 'discussing' it with y'all later and then I got distracted (big surprise there, huh?), but it's good cause with other things that have been happening, I'm still confused. So, I'm asking for advice, feel free to post some.
At that time, that week, I was chatting/hanging out with this guy and confused, with new developments I'm still (more) confused.
I took a couple CJ (criminal justice) classes that this guy happened to be in, one last spring, and one last semester. Anyways, I had set up to meet him somewhere for a supper, he happened to be working that night (this was back in Oct?), and forgot about it. Later (a week, I believe), he invited me to ride along with him on one of his work days (he works with the local PD), and I did, that was fun. We were chatting a bit on AIM. Then I graduated (Dec) and I hadn't chatted with him in awhile, sometime in Jan I believe we did a little more chatting on AIM. Speed forward (with chatting on AIM) to April (my mind is so lost on time lately), a Mon, he gets on AIM, we chat for about 4 hours more or less, then he comes over, takes a short tour of my apt, and we chat about 6 hours, we go to supper (both paying for our own), still chatting, and then I go to see his apt, and we continue chatting. And then he takes me home about midnight, I started chatting with him at 10AM, pretty much chatting most of the day.
Tues, he gets on AIM to say he had fun, that was pretty much it for the day. Weds, he calls me around 9PM or so, says he's getting off work, and wonders if he might come over to watch a movie. He does, we watch a movie and talk more. He goes home close to 3AM. I don't believe I talked to him for the rest of the week.
Guess I chatted a little Sat night. Sun (next week) he chats with me on AIM (I have no idea how long, guessing a couple hrs). Tues, he calls wants to get together and watch another movie, due to my having stuff out, I decline, and we chat a little while on the phone, maybe 30 min or so.
Tues (this week), he calls around 1:30PM and wonders if I want to go get something to eat. We go to McD's (see part of earlier post). He goes to work around 2:30PM. I go for my walk (you should all know about my walks by now). See him at the PD on the way back, no chatting (he looked busy). About 15-20 min later, I call him, he says he was gonna chat when he came back out of the PD but I was gone, we chat about 40 (?) minutes. I called him yesterday (Wed) and we chatted for a few min, not too long. Today, he calls about 2:30PM and asks about going to get something to eat. We go to Jimmy Johns (sub place), we're at the counter, chick takes his order, asks for mine. I think nothing of it (I decided to get nothing, cause I have no money, that's getting to be a trend). He gets a cookie with his meal and tells me I gotta eat some of it (of course I did).
Now, I'm sitting here tonight, chatting with Goddess. And I realize that he didn't say anything to the chick about us being separate when she asked what I wanted. Kinda confused about that.
I like him, I've liked him since I first saw him, but figured wouldn't get any further than facebook (online 'community' site) friends (there's a shit load of good looking guys on campus, and a bunch I'm facebook friends that I like, that won't go any further). I don't know if I'm wanting something that's not there, or what. I find myself searching for his truck at the PD parking lot (I do that when I learn what people drive, so not just cause I like someone). When I was done with my walk today, I was outside with my pig, kinda watching, hoping he'd come by. I find I'm happy when he calls (ok I'm happy when anyone calls, but I like talking to him). Am I hoping there's something there that isn't? Maybe. Is there something there? I don't know, that's where you're advice comes into play. I've never liked someone that may have an interest in me. I've been on one date (technically 2, cause there was a time when a guy bought me dinner, but I still/always see it as friends having dinner).
I'm just way confused, anything y'all wanna contribute would be helpful.

Won't let you go

Lesson #4: Don't drink a 12 oz bottle of smirnoff (when you haven't had much to eat all day) and then get in the shower. Makes for an interesting shower. ;)
And apparently my face gets really red when I drink. Who knew?
Also, how come the guys get all the cool shit? I got a free Gilette Fusion in the mail the other day ( a guys' razor), and I've been using it to shave my upper legs, its really great.
And Bones is on, and it's also hard to type :)

I'm selling dirt

Me and Kevin went to McDonald's for lunch yesterday. We're standing at the counter, and my friends orders and the chick behind the counter just ignores me and moves on to the next customer. That was ok, because I'd decided I didn't have any money for anything. Later I remembered they have those cinnamon melt things (those are so damn good), so I go up, same chick at the counter, and I order one of those, a small drink and an order of fries. I told her about the fries 3 times and the chick still didn't hear me. I wasn't too peeved, because that would have been more money, but you'd think the chick could pay a little more attention. I also didn't understand why they had 3 registers, at least 6 people milling around doing little to nothing, and 3 manager type people sitting talking and ONE person running the counter. Not that it was extremely busy, but WHAT THE HELL ARE THESE PEOPLE DOING?
I don't want anyone to think I'm totally out of it since I haven't mentioned the Virginia Tech shootings, yes I've heard of it, over and over again. I'm getting sick of hearing about it. So, I'm not going to discuss it. If you haven't heard of it, you live in a hole. I just wanna ask why the hell these people always have to kill/wound a bunch of people before killing themselves. Why can't they just go and kill themselves? That's all I'm going to say on that.
So, this week (Monday through today), I've been having people deal with the central air conditioning thats going in my apt. (As if I haven't had enough dirt and people in my apt). Anyways, these people barely make the effort to talk to me. I get that they're doing a job, but could we be polite and offer a hello? I can't even get into my bedroom (Ok I can, but I have to slide past a ladder and through lots of dirt), and they just kinda ignore me. It's annoying.
I hope they're done today, my mom said it would be 3 days, so they should be done today, but you never really know. I'm actually looking forward to cleaning my apartment. Yep, you read that right. There's just so much dirt and dust everywhere that it feels gross. Anyone wanna help?

I won't tell no one your name

Since its been warm lately I've been going out on walks again. Well today I went barefoot, apparently I should have started on shorter walks before doint the whole thing barefoot because I now have blisters on the bottom of my feet, including a blood blister on one of them. Oh well, I can handle sneakers until they heal. I also apparently didn't pick my foot up when I was walking and skinned my big toe, that's very painful, its that nice raw skin meets the air pain. Sigh.
Course I'm also showing matching slices on my ankle bone from shaving yesterday. It wasn't even a new shaver blade. I tell ya, something is against me lately.
So, I was watching TV tonight and I had my windows open, I heard some people talking outside, so I wandered over, just to look. There's 2 women standing there talking, one of them has a dog, which is proceeding to dig in our flower garden and eat things. Then they got mad at me for asking them to stop the dog. WHAT THE FUCK?!? Course they decided to move along too, so if the dog was gonna do it again, it wasn't gonna be in my yard.

mmm melted plastic

Two nights of going to bed after midnight and getting up at 7 am are not working for me. Sunday night was my fault, I got caught up in watching TV. I had to watch the Amazing Race, and then Cold Case, and I sorta got sucked into Without A Trace (That seems to happen every week). I wish they would start finding people alive again. It's so much nicer with the happy ending. And then I was taping Drive (new show on FOX), and I watched it afterward. I like it, I was originally just gonna watch it because of a sweet car from one of the commercials, but the story lines are kinda cute: there's the husband racing because his wife was kidnapped by the race people, the guy racing after getting out of prison, the father racing because he's only got a year left to live, the mom racing to get away from her abusive husband (I'm kinda guessing on that, they only hinted at it), Army guy and his wife she wants to win so he doesn't have to go back to Iraq, And of course they all have partners: husband with some chick whose parents were in the race when she was young and died, prison dude with half brother to get back at dad, father with daughter, mom with a chick she was supposed to 'eliminate', and Army guy with wife. It's pretty interesting. So, I was up til about midnight Sunday doing that.
Yesterday, I had to work the Jason Brown concert, he's a new country artist, it was a special thing for FFA. It was supposed to be a short call, we were supposed to be done by 11:30, but in our meeting beforehand, we were told that if he liked the crowd he would play 2 or 3 hours instead of the 90 min, and then at the beginning of the concert he made the announcement that he would stay until he gave everyone an autograph. I love it how people don't think about others. I don't care if you people want an autograph I wanna go home at a decent time. I usually don't mind working that late, but we're usually informed when we call in that we will be working that late, not just because the performer's being an ass (like GnR). Thankfully we didn't have any problems, he played for an hour and 45 minutes, then signed autographs, til I'm guessing we left.
Lessons I've learned:
1. Not to leave plastic on the toaster oven when you're using it as an oven.
2. My smoke detector is in working order
3. Milk becomes chunky after a certain time.
Anyone interested in some chunky milk?

I was woken up shortly after 7 this morning to dream guy riding home from work on his bike. Jackass. I've noticed that he gets annoyed when people do shit that wakes him up (he's on night shift, so sleeps during the day), but its ok for him to ride his Harley when the majority of the population is trying to sleep. Some people are such hypocrites.

Take me back to where the music hit me

So, that new show, Drive. Not too bad. They have some kinda weird story lines but still pretty cool. Even better deal: it's regular time is Mondays 7pm, when i'm not watching anything. Course tomorrow I'll have to tape it as I have to be at work at 8:30, but hey, I can deal.
Also, some shit I learned today, never leave plastic on the top of your toaster oven and then use it as an oven. Oh, and my smoke detector works fine.

You said I was never gonna learn

OK, quick rant before blogger has an outage.
Am I the only one who thinks it's rude to answer your cell when you're out to eat with someone?
Also, anyone remember this question I posted back in November? 58% of the population wished they had this in their car, what is it? It's a microwave

Ice shouldn't burn

Some times I don't even know why I bother. A little while ago I complained because one of the blogs I read dropped me off their links list, well now a comment I left seems to have mysteriously disappeared.
I have a big heart and I don't have a boyfriend, so I care more about my friends (nothing that goes over the line, but I do care if they have shit in their life that upsets them). I'm so sick of people using that against me. First it was the soldier that needed someone to talk to in Kuwait, who decided to ignore me once he got back. Then it's the biker that says he needs a friendly chick to help out his girlfriend, but once I give him advice and I'm guessing he didn't like it, he stopped communication, and the thing with the guy I'm hanging out with lately (ok, I haven't really figured that out yet), and of course online 'friends'. I put that in quotes because we all know people online may or may not be what they say they are. That's the beauty of online. In all the people I've chatted with online (and my blog) I've been truthful. OK, there has been the occasional time when I was pissed that people in chat rooms would IM me about sex, but those are few and far between (mostly because I've stopped going in chat rooms).
I've gotten used to so much shit (people dropping off talking to me, people not keeping their promises), maybe I shouldn't care anymore. I'm just sick of people being asses.

I've been really depressed lately, I think it's because I have nothing to do all day, my parents keep harping on my about my lack of a job, and I don't have anyone to hang out with (all my friends are either not here, or in classes. I'm not complaining about that, classes should come first). Plus it's been cold. When it's warm I go out for a walk, and that brightens me up. So, when I'm stuck at home all day....and the lack of money for food doesn't help. I got paid $14.60 the other day for 2 hours of work a couple weeks ago, that didn't even cover my electric bill. It sucks. My parents think I don't care and that I'm just having fun all day, but I get reminded every time I have to write a check or buy something that I don't have money or a job. Like I need them to rub it in a little more. If I had the money I would be so far away from them. I know I say that all the time, but I really mean it. I'm so sick of them in my life.
I was laughing at myself the other day. I got $10 in the mail and I was excited, that's when you know you're poor. I had to give the gov $56 for my taxes (my dad always said I shouldn't put exact money stuff up here, but I really don't see how it can be against me and I don't give a damn), and I couldn't afford that, my dad paid it. It's nice how I can weasel shit out of him, mom is nice every once in awhile, but I never hold my breath on it.
Speaking of mom and money, she was complaining the other day on the look of my jeans. These are my favorite jeans, well I wore them when I was painting the trim for the bathroom and they have paint splotches on them. Personally I like them, they give them more character. She was complaining that I didn't have any nice jeans. I actually do, I just never wear them, cause I don't have a need for nice jeans. That's the beauty of jeans you can wear them, shit happens to them and they get character. I wear the hell out of my jeans before I get new ones (half of that because they cost too damn much).
I've been on the no money for food diet. I could never be on a real diet, I hate not being able to eat what I want when I want to. I don't know how people do it. Of course, I've been blessed with a great metabolism. Seems like all I eat is junk food, and I'm at my heaviest weight right now (130 pounds). Course when it's warm I go on walks, I know that helps, considering they're about 2 miles long.
And, I'm rambling, sorry people

and the shower curtain saga continues...

Yeah, I'm on my 2nd shower curtain because the first one was too long, with about 4 inches sitting on the shower floor, and I had problems with it in the sides, it wouldn't stick to the sides, and water would come out them. So, mom bought a shower liner (I guess that's the correct name for the plastic thing) with suction cups on the sides, fits perfectly except it's too damn short. Dammit. I'm thinking of putting the first one in, then the suction cup one and then my striped shower curtain in front.

Those people hungry

OK, so I'm watching this new show on NBC, Thank God You're Here, where there are comedians that are thrown into a set they are never seen and they have to improvise with the other people on the set. Now, it's pretty funny except that they give away a piece of plastic "award" and the host has to chat with the comedians before the get into their skit, and the judge chats with them after the skit. If they just cut that all out and only showed the little skits, it would be waay better.
Its been pretty funny so far, I'm surprised my dad hasn't called to see what all the noise (me laughing hysterically) is about. Since his 'entertainment room' is below my living room.

UGH, so I have some fun little chest pain when I breathe (and subsequently when I laugh), it's real fun.
Today, was my I don't give a damn day. I was gonna just sleep the whole damn day, but that is hard. I made it to 9:30, that's AM. Sigh. So, I haven't gotten dressed yet (it's 21:12, 9:12 pm for all you normal people), have been sitting in front of my 2 computers and the tv all damn day.

I got a call from a place that was looking for a secretary (I think?) and they said my background education would help for a position talking with kids at a troubled kids home. (so much for relaying this easy to y'all)

And I'll earn your trust making memories of us

You know, just once I'd love to see someone own up for what they did instead of lying to the cops. I'll hold my breath.
Boston, MA: Officer Mark Sullivan, Officer Joseph Marrero,
Lowell, MA:
You think I was just here for no reason?
There’s two people in the damn van, you buddy and someone else, but you don’t know who through the bottle, what a fucking liar
Sigh, there was this beautiful bike in the background when Officer Coutre was talking to the victims about what happened. Damn, I wish the cameraman had moved off of the cop and on to that bike, cause it was a beauty.
Palm Springs, CA:
They’re using Yahoo! IM’s when chatting with these fucked up people.
I gotta find me some high-powered binoculars like that, think of the things I could see…
I love it how the guy lies but he sticks his actual photo in his IM as his icon, jackass.
Why do they always say “Seriously?” No jackass they want you to lie, how stupid are you?
Brevard Co, FL: Deputy Justin Gould, FTO Brad Bellflower,
Why would you get a yellow Lexus? No normal person gets a car in yellow
“You got weed on your lip” Oh, shit that was funny. Next time, ya might wanna clean off your mouth before you get out of the car. Maybe that’s why he was playing ring-around-the-fuel pumps at the gas station. Idiot.
Drugs up your ass, that’s gotta be comfy. I feel very sorry for the cops that have to reach up people’s asses, you couldn’t pay me enough…
Hamilton County, OH: second hott deputy
Go “Mr. Big Man” flipping off the cops and starting a fight, then he ends up crying. Nothing good comes from drunks.
I know Deputy Gould is from a rerun, but I never gave him an award, and it's my award and my blog, my rules, I can break them whenever I want.
Deputy Justin Gould
Brevard County, FL

So, I saw another commercial for the new show Drive, Goddess was telling me it looks dumb, that’s not the reason I wanna see it. It’s got some sweet ass cars in the commercials, course there’s gotta be a little something more to keep me hooked. Case in point: Supernatural, with their sweet Impala, course the hott guys don’t count against it, or the fact that I like the ‘supernatural’ part of it. Also, Angel drove a nice car in his show.

What are you reading these days?

You know me, I'm a sucker for these meme's, and anything other than thinking about reality right now is a nice bright spot. So, I stole this from Ambulance Driver.

Most of them I read for classes. I'm not really into reading books that are big and popular, just like I don't like to watch movies that are really popular (hence the reason I haven't gone to see any of Harry Potter), I don't like to mainstream. It's more fun to be weird and have people look at you and like you because your different.
Also, I have read quite a few books, just not a bunch on this list.

Are you a deer hunter?

So, last night I learned something that pissed me off and upset me so much. I decided that there can't be a God who would do this to someone, and if there is we're gonna have a talk when I die. I need an explanation, I know I'll never understand, but I need someone to try and explain it to me. I've always said, music keeps me sane. It's helped me through so many times, last night I turned it off, I needed something that wasn't in the music, and I couldn't listen. I wanted to just zone out and have someone wake me from it. I just wanted to get away. Borrowing from Sodapop (and probably a number of other people), I give a Fuck Off And Die to God.

You're dead and broken

Stupid, stupid me. I had one damn thing to do today, and I fucked it up. My dad told me to set out the lawnmower and the snowblower, so they could get picked up and tuned (and all that shit, they're storing the snow blower til Oct) at 10 today, I woke up at ten and didn't remember til about 10:30, to which I grabbed a coat slipped my boots on and went outside. So, if they're sitting there all day and don't get taken care of it's all my fault. I'm such an idiot.

In other news, I got two new CDs in the past 2 days, Breakaway by Kelly Clarkson, and Faceless by Godsmack. Funny thing is I knew more of the songs on Breakaway, I've listened to it once since I got it (only the songs I know), but with Faceless (which I received yesterday), I stuck in my CD player and haven't stopped listening to it since (I only knew 3 of the songs). Especially weird cause I'm not really a heavy metal person, I just like it because Yahoo picked out Serenity once and I got hooked on that song.
A couple things I tripped over on my blog readings. Some southern hospitality here. And some cop support here.

So, I'm watching The Amaxing Race tonight (big surprise there huh), anyways I was thinking how sorry I felt for the airline people that have to deal with players on The Amazing Race. There's always at least one team that gets in a bind with the airlines whether its because they can't get on the plane, they're late for a connecting flight (or anything that you run into at an airport). And the people working at the airlines have to deal with them, it just sucks.

Save me from this nothing I've become

I'm so in the dumps lately. I think it has something to do with me not taking my walks since Thurs. I know walking's good for you, but it also lifts my spirits, I know it has something to do with endorphins which make you happy. I don't know, look it up.
Anyways, I didn't take my walk on Thurs or Fri because the electrician was supposed to come at 2, and then I just waited until about 5, hoping he'd still show up. I didn't go out for one yesterday because it rained practically all day. Today, I'm thinking about wandering over to Karli's cause I wanna drop off her b-day present (her b-day was March 7th, I haven't seen her since March 2nd, and she said she didn't want it early).

So, last night I had a great dream, featuring Dream Guy (no nothing sexual, you people have dirty minds). We chatted, something I wish I could do with him all the time. I wish he were a friend, sigh. So, a For Rent sign popped up in front of his duplex this past week, but I think it's for the people on the 2nd floor (or at least that's what I'm telling myself, so I don't freak out). Course I won't really know until Aug 1st (when the leases flip over here).

No post for cops last night. It was an hour of repeats and I went to the student-run fashion show, and I didn't feel like taping an hour of reruns. Also, I've decided to cut back on my statuette awarding. I'm only giving them to people on new eps (sorry Officer Pilutik). I'll still comment on the old eps if I'm watching, but I won't be awarding the statuettes to officers on the old eps.

See that little gap on the left side of the vanity? That's not supposed to be there. They're ordering a filler strip (a little piece of wood matching the vanity) to stick there and a new counter top to cover up the gap. Also that trim on the bottom (the white between the wood and the floor), my mom finds that really ugly. I don't mind. More pics in the next post
