All the minions

Sunday: Got my laundry done, no surprise there. Didn't do much else, I did open another blind bag, this one is a springling, aptly named because when you open that orange thing, the toy comes flying out the top.
This guy is a hedgehog.
Monday: I got to sleep in, put together some tags when I got up, a sticker destash wish:
And others I forgot to take pictures of. One was a birthday surprise, a wish of magnetic bookmarks, a couple teabags.
I had a zoom work meeting that took about an hour and a half. I took out my trash and checked the mail. Found a wish for tea:
A mini sticky note tag:
a destash tag:
And then I had plans with a friend for lunch and shopping. We went to Sonic, it wasn't that great. I had a chicken sandwich and it was not very good. I got a peanut butter shake which was wonderful. We then headed to Dollar Tree, and found it interesting that the popcorn and moonpies were shelved with the kleenex, napkins and toilet paper:
I went a bit crazy.
I needed the tub strainers, and went crazy in the sticker aisle, some of these are rubons. I just get so excited with some of the stuff I find there. I'm thinking the rub ons and the jewel stickers would usually be $3 or more.
More cool stickers and rub ons. Also picked up some wicked cool favor boxes that look like legos, and a neat notebook that has cat cactus on it.
some journaling cards, Ugly dolls, a couple cute stuffed animals, an interesting pen, Rose sparkling juice, some tape. The journaling cards would be probably $8 or more.
The journaling cards.
More of them.

And some more.
A couple neat notebooks, more tape and another ugly Dolls
All the Ugly Dolls
These would be at least $5 if not more anywhere else. I spent about $33.
Next stop was Target, I found these wicked cool cakes:
Totally would have bought one if we didn't have a 45 minute drive and no way to keep them cool. I do need a cake for my birthday.
I found the best birthday card:
Inside:
I was going to buy it, but it was $3.50, for a single card, nothing special about it.
I bought very few things at Target:
I needed the gummy vitamins. I also wanted some chocolate, too, Target usually has great chocolate. Sadly, all I found was the Twix. I did find the Kinder surprise eggs with the minions, and bought 5, and they turned out to be all different. I also picked up the cutest bee. Total spent $23.
My minions:
It was a great day. Hopefully the rest of the week will be good too.

Unicorns abound

Sunday: I survived Father's Day with my parents. I couldn't handle a whole afternoon with them, so I told them I had time for lunch. We got curbside from Texas Roadhouse, it was good, and chatted.
I made a cat pocket letter:
And got my laundry done.

Monday: I opened at the library, I was in the auditorium to help out with curbside. It was colder out than I expected and raining when I left. I took a quick warm shower when I got home and then attended a zoom meeting that was all about us getting ready to open up.
I found a gimmie gimmie of something unicorn in my mail:
Very cute die cuts.
And some planner stickers:
These are from a new group I joined, I didn't realize it was a planner group. It was just named the Happy Mail group. I fulfilled my end of the swap, but I won't be staying.

Tuesday: I switched shifts with someone else so I opened. I'd rather open when we only have a morning and an afternoon shift, at least in the middle of the week. It was busy with holds and curbside.
Found a pocket letter in the mail:
It was mailed flat, so pretty much everything fell out. The person sending to me didn't say anything about things being out of order. I love the creativity in this.
The goodies:
I got word our big annual art festival is "postponed" until next year. I figured that was going to happen. I'm tired of people using postponed when things are really cancelled. That's what they said about the state fair as well.

Wednesday: I mailed things on Tuesday morning, so it was weird not to go to the post office after work. I was wicked stressed due to not having a work schedule for the next week. My birthday is next Thursday and I just wanted to plan. Lesson learned, put a vacation request in for your birthday.
I found a cat pocket letter in the mail:
Not a lot of decorating on it, she had a lot of goodies in the front, so when I took them out, it wasn't as decorative.
The goodies:
Very cute paper dolls.
As I was so stressed, I was chatting with my birthday twin (I found through a facebook group), we has decided to send each other presents earlier. I was going to wait until my birthday, but she told me to open it, it would make me feel better. It definitely did:
Some stickers, a minion, gummy cactus candy, glow rings and a cute socks.
That minion will be going to work, as I have one at home.

Thursday: I had the day off, finally got my schedule late that day. I have been spoiled with good birthdays lately that when a time comes up that I have to work, it throws me off. I was scheduled in the middle of the day, hard to make plans. Last year, I took the day off, spent it with a friend and the night with a different friend. The year before that, my family went to St. Louis, while not the greatest, a vacation totally helps, just getting away is good for the soul. The year before that I had brunch with friends and then my brother was in town and we went on a house tour and Trader Joe's (I'm not sure I'd been there before).
Found an SMS spiky in the mail:
It's a massage ball, but it really looks like a dog toy to me.
And a postage due.
I made a birthday gift for one of my supervisors and ended up talking to my mom about our plans for the next week. My brother's coming in for the week, I haven't seen him in about a year. I didn't realize it was that long until I was thinking I missed him (that's not something I think very often). It will be nice to do things with him, though it will be weird not actually going somewhere to eat. My 4th of July plans might not happen, usually my dad's family usually has a get together on the 4th, but not very many people have responded this year. I guess we'll see.

Friday: Also had the day off as I was working Saturday. I did not want to go outside, but I had to deal with that postage due, so I finally talked myself into getting dressed and going to the post office. I decided to mail something while I was there, had a tag from Wednesday and we have a week to mail it, this way I wouldn't be too squished for time. The item was postage due because it had what felt like a pen or pencil in it. It wasn't flexible, that's one of the big things that makes it a package. It's so annoying, I don't know why the person sending to me would think it wasn't a package. Refused that, sadly it was a birthday surprise, we'll see if I get the resend before my birthday.
I found a favorites resend in the mail:
This was from back in March. This tea smells AMAZING!
And an SMS cute:
It's like the tiniest, cutest gnome stamp ever, plus he's juggling mail, I might have to stamp it on outgoing mail.
I had gone to a local store to find a gift for my mother:
This is the 2nd time I've been there since they reopened and I never see any of the employees wearing masks, one of my coworkers said I shouldn't go there anymore, I'm thinking it's a good idea. I want to support the small businesses but when you're obviously not doing things to protect people, why should I bother? There's a note on the door saying you should stay 6 feet away from people, but it's not that big of a store. I was going to go to another small business for lunch, but they were closed. I guess they changed their hours, but I didn't find the sign in a very visible place.
One of my coworkers said she'd trade shifts with me on the 2nd, so I got the afternoon off to plan, such a relief, I totally wrote a thank you card for her.
Saturday: I was woken up at 6, not happy about that. Due to that, I opened one of my blind boxes, Ravel Tales:
It's a yarn ball, and then you unravel it to get to the goodies:
You get a bunch of yarn, three different weights, some felt, some plastic buttons, a couple charms, a name plate and a pom pom maker. The idea is you use some of the thinner yarn to sew the bed for your stuffed animal and the stuff it with the really thick yarn. I love the really thick yarn, so I stuffed it with the medium weight yarn which you're supposed to sew up the bed with. It's a nice concept for kids.
I got Puppadoo:
I bought them for the stuffed animal, the thick yarn, and the fun of unraveling. There used to be this surprise balls I'd seen people making and selling on Etsy, they would wrap things up in a ball with random surprises throughout, unraveling this kinda reminded me of it.
I realized I may have gotten too many things for me to open on my birthday, the only thing I don't have is chocolate.
I had to open at the library, it's our last day of curbside, on the 1st we're opening the lobby for holds pickup, once we get a bunch of the thousands of holds out of the building we'll open more areas for the public. I went up to peruse the movies as we're urged not to add to the bunches of lists of things people have requested that are in the library. I got lost and checked out a ton of movies. I do not need more movies to watch, I need to start reading my books. I'm planning on starting to renew things on Monday, I'll lose some days on a few of them, but I need to get back to my schedule for when things are due. I had a great chat with one of my Tuesday night regulars, that was nice. We're not going to be doing that once we open the lobby. Our intent is to get people to just pick up holds and leave. I got a bunch of interlibrary loan stuff done.
I went to a local deli for lunch, so excited to be able to do that. I was also hoping to go to a British store for some chocolate, but they were closing as I entered the building. They're only open 2 days a week for a very limited time. The last time I was there it felt like they were mostly incense, rocks and tea. Sometimes they have some good chocolate, but it seems less and less, plus they're expensive (I get why, but I can't afford things), I probably won't be going to them much in the future.
My mail was not delivered when I got home, but it came a few hours later.
My You Matter Box:
I like this one this month. The card said it was rainbow month, find a rainbow. I like the idea and plan to think of it as Pride month. There was a rainbow towel, a wish bracelet, rainbow umbrella, a cute card, markers and a frame to color and a cute rainbow phone wallet and ring. I was a bit disappointed in the card this month as it did not tell me prices of things for last month. I like to know prices, the two months before had that.
A 50 loose stickers tag:
I'm so not a fan of those soccer stickers.
A gimmie gimmie of something unicorn:
The washi is so cute.
And sticker flakes:
I'm not sure what this one was for, it was from a group I'm no longer in and I was pretty sure I had received everything I was waiting on.
This was the first week since the week of February 16th that I've gotten happy mail every day. I highly doubt mail is picking back up, but it would be very nice if it was.

Cute squishy

Tuesday: It didn't feel like Tuesday as I was scheduled to be at the library in the morning. I'm used to either not working or working later.
Found this box on my interlibrary loan table at work:
I wish Target was sending us miscellaneous toys.
I put together a June ATCs-flowers swap:
I totally just found some scraps of paper and layered some flower punches. I like them, but now that I look at the pictures again, I feel I should have added a stem. Oh well, too late.
I had the same partner for a summer crafting items swap, so I combined them:
I found a mini sticker palooza swap in my mailbox:
I really like the llama, the undersea and the kawaii ones. I've decided to use the smiley ones for my calendar for the days I meet my goal of drinking water.
Wednesday: I'm at the point where I'm losing vacation at work again, we were thinking about going somewhere in April, but that didn't happen obviously. I left a bit early on Wednesday. I wish I had somewhere to go. The person who keeps track of our vacation said I could just use it to have more time to read, but I do enough of that already. My mom bought me a couple of pairs of sandals last Friday, I wore the dressier pair on Tuesday and Wednesday, by the time I got home on Wednesday, I had two blisters from them. I think part of that is my fault, I was thinking the looser things are, that's when blisters form. I googled it when I got home and supposedly it's when they're tighter. I just don't understand why I have to have blisters basically every time I get new footwear. Not every time, because the more sporty ones that I wore on my shopping trip (which is a lot of walking) on Monday were fine.
Thursday: I was very stressed by 11AM. I've been in the same spot all week, it felt like it should have been Friday by that time. I was at the position where you answer all the public phone calls and emails. Our curbside service is very popular and the slots fill up very fast, and that's mostly what the calls and emails are about, the fact they have to wait about a week to pick up their items. At 11, my replacement came in and I went out front to change my scenery and then I got caught up in other things until I left at 1:30, totally helped with my mood. I was also having issues with my feet, I wore tennis shoes that day, and having the socks and shoes on made my feet really hot.
I received my gypsy tassels:
I like the salmon/teal one and the red, white and blue one the best.
And some extras:
I really like that giant piece at the bottom, it's a sticker, I think it's going on my next journal, though it would be pretty cool on an embellishment box, especially if it's vintage themed.
I was having a chat with a co-worker. I have issues with depression, but I couldn't figure out why people with depression had issues with taking showers or getting out of bed in the morning. I read an article that said they didn't see the point. That makes sense to me. It doesn't apply to me at all. My routine is what keeps me sane. That means taking a shower every night, going to work every day, grocery shopping every week. I was totally dreading the fact that we might have a stay at home order and am very happy my governor never issued one. Even though I realize people won't do things unless you make them.
Friday: I was so excited it was Friday, I was so done with the week by then. I switched positions, so I was answering the phone out front at our curbside service. I wore my more sporty sandals and I'm not having issues with them at all, the only issue I'm having is I can adjust a strap over my toes, but there's not enough velcro on it, so if it's a better fit for me, the end flops around.
I called my dad after work to figure out Father's Day. I have issues with hanging out with my parents, they just drive me nuts and it's been like this for years, they're a little more clingy now that the world fell apart, but there's only so much of them I can handle. Our plan was to have lunch and it sounded like they wanted me to hang out all afternoon with them, I can't handle that. I told my dad I had time for lunch because I had other things to do. My parents believe I have nothing to do outside of work and feel like my art and reading and all the other stuff I do is wasting time, so I've stopped telling them what I do in my free time. I have to make a few things. Anywho, my dad got a little bothered that I could only get together for lunch, I feel it's better for my parents feelings to say I have other things to do rather than saying you are too much and I can't deal with hanging out with you that long.
Anyways, he said some things that frustrated and upset me, so I opened up one of my birthday gifts:
He's a wicked soft frog. The tag that was on him said Hobby Frog, I have no idea what he's from, I just saw him in Walmart and fell in love with him. I actually took all the stuff I bought for my birthday, put it in a giant gift bag and covered it with tissue paper, so I didn't see it all every time I walked by. So, I stuck my hand in under the tissue paper and he's what I pulled out.
I love stuffed animals, this one was a bit expensive for cheap me ($8), but I knew I'd be splurging, so I just gave myself permission to. He's lying on my laptop in the picture, he's not taller than 12". Considering I picked up a giant bunny at Easter for $6, that's way bigger than he is, I'm not sure it was a great deal.
I also ended up going to the grocery store and splurging on a couple bottles of Mountain Dew, a rotisserie chicken, chips, donuts and some mini apple pies. And I've already eaten most of it. I got a couple of Oriental Trading company catalogs in the mail. It was amazing how grumpy I was by the time I got home about 3 and the rest of the night to the point I opened up one of my birthday gifts, and then I checked my work email about 9pm and ended the night too excited to sleep. I got really good news. The library I work at is reopening on July 1st. I'm wicked excited.
Saturday: I was going to go to an estate sale that started at 10. By that time I had signed up to do a red, white and blue tag on one of my mail groups and realized I didn't have anything that would work, as there was a note that we couldn't send stickers. I figured it was a great excuse to go to Hobby Lobby. I haven't been there since February, it turns out 4 months to the date. On the way, I called a coworker and we talked about the email and another email we got that kinda surprised me.
What I got:
A squishy (6), pineapple (7.5), flowers (.50 each), pineapple trim (1), magnetic bookmarks (.75), resin Easter stickers (.40), mini pom pom chicks (.50).
I think I did pretty good.
I am so in love with that squishy
Though it's a bit high for me. It's maybe 6 inches tall. It's already starting to tear a bit, I bought like 10 hours ago.
And the pineapple
And the rest:
4th of July centerpiece (1.7), 4th of July stickers (1.5), cupcake shaker stickers (1), kawaii sticker book (10), drink sticker book (3), food sticker book (3) and some mini sacks (1.75).
The centerpiece is totally for that tag, i thought they were so cute. I signed up for a red, white and blue pocket letter, so picked up these stickers. I totally fell in love with the sticker books. I don't need more stickers (I have way more than I should).
Kawaii sticker book:
And 22 more pages that aren't shown, also they have some metallic foiling on some of them.
Drink sticker book:
And food sticker book:
These were not on sale, but when I got home and looked at the receipt, the cashier gave me 50% off on all the stickers. Not sure why, but I'm not complaining, maybe they were on sale, I just wasn't paying attention.
I got the red, white and blue tag ready:
A new mail group I joined, the person i'm paired up with really likes planner stickers, so I put together a package for her:
This is for another group where I said I'd send 3 sticker sheets, I have a lot of stickers, and I knew one more sheet will not mess up shipping costs.
I signed up for a couple 50 loose sticker tags:
Normally I don't do more than one kind of tag, but I'm hurting for mail.
Spent the afternoon watching TV and reading. I found a summer crafting swap in the mail:
And a pocket letter:
I've decided I really don't like Blogger's new way to insert pictures. If I put in too many, it messes up the order of them, and I've noticed I can't add from more than one folder on my computer at once. Am I missing something? I'm also having issues adding labels.
I never did make it to the estate sale, Hobby Lobby and the estate sale were in opposite directions and I just couldn't talk myself into it.
Here's hoping I survive tomorrow.
