Blizzard

Thursday: I watched movies all day and attended the retirement party of the library director. I found a Valentine's Day tag and favorites tag when i got home:
Or at least she said it was a favorites tag. I don't have homemade envelopes listed in my favorites and I don't use them. The Valentine's Day tag was cute with the notebook and stickers, when I ate the candy it was kinda old.
Friday: worked that afternoon and found some mail.
Bookmark tag:
How cute is that sticker? Also, the bookmark is very thin wood. I'm not exactly sure why I signed up for this tag, as I don't use bookmarks, well I do, just not real bookmarks, I usually end up using my hold slip.
wish:
 I had wished for tea.
Saturday: had a women's basketball game, got lucky and got a ride from a co worker who promised me a ride home and a ride to the wrestling event on sunday. It was a pretty slow day. The door I was at had like 20 people come through, it was very slow. Had a couple people upset because they couldn't bring in their umbrellas. It was raining by the time we left.
Envelope of sunshine:
basically we were to send at least 10 yellow die cuts in an envelope. I like these, but I'm not a fan of the daintier die cuts, I find them hard to glue down.
Green pocket letter:
This was very nice, I love how she decorated it.
Sunday: The weather turned to snow overnight and on Sunday we were in a blizzard warning. We got about 6 or 7 inches of snow and wind and drifting. I heard a bunch of roads south of town were closed due to drifting, we also had our interstate north of town to the MN border closed (we're in the middle of the state) for the whole day until about noon on Monday. I still had to work the wrestling meet and I was so glad I had the ride, though we kinda got stuck turning off my road onto a busier road, we made it but it freaked me out. I attempted to walk home with another co-worker afterwards, that was a bad idea. She doesn't live very far away and I thought I could either walk on top of the snow or use other people's footprints, after almost falling over way too many times and encountering a big snow pile I decided to wait for the bus, that ended up being about 20 minutes. Went home, put together a decorative paper swap:
we had to send 10 pieces of A2 size (4.25x5.5) paper. I sent doubles of everything in the photo.
Here's some nice pictures of the snow from Sunday morning:
Can you see how weighted down with snow and ice this bush is:
 And the trees.
Put together a few more things after work.
Surprise:
 rainbow happy mail:
 SMS sparkly:
 And a couple sticker sheets:
So, Monday when I got up I didn't expect sidewalks to be cleared off, but everything on my way to work was, except they were all covered in ice, the rain that came before the snow. It took me about 20 minutes to walk the 4 blocks, and the same to get home. Work was kinda slow because of that. Had another basketball game that night, my mother gave me a ride to and from. Found some mail when I got home.
SMS Unique:
This was actually a wish. I love putting this down and seeing what people's definitions of unique are.
Green card:
 Decorative paper:
Tuesday: I decided I needed to be productive in making things. Finished a few swaps.
This and that:
Basically, we had a list of things to choose from.
 Wishes:
she asked for scratch and sniff stickers, junk journal supplies and die cuts.
Random craft swap:
We had to send our partners two craft items.
And then I went to work.
Wednesday: we had a slight snow or something overnight, it made the ice easier to walk on. I just don't understand why people don't just get ice melt and spread it over everything. It would work, that's why we don't have ice at the library. All the sidewalks I walk on to get to work are 100% ice covered. I haven't fallen yet, I'm afraid I might. I end up taking very small steps and it takes me like twice as long to get anywhere, it's very annoying. Our temperatures are not going to be above freezing in at least a week. My extended forecast, which is through next Wednesday, the highest day is 26, which is this Friday, mostly we're in the single digits again. That is way too long to have to walk on all that ice. The roads are worse because they are polished from the cars driving on them. We have chances of more snow tomorrow and Friday, with little to no accumulation. I'm so tired of all this.
Spent the afternoon reading a book that is due on monday and I can't renew.
Found some mail later.
This and that:
I was disappointed that she didn't include the rolls of washi she was supposed to. I've also decided I'm leaving this group after my swaps are received and I receive another one I'm waiting on. There haven't been many swaps I've wanted to join for awhile, and one less group won't be bad.
 and the favorites tag again
I guess these are better, but I still feel they don't really work. I hate that the stickers are pretty kiddish.

Weekly update

Saturday: Had another game, it was ok. I hate it when my co workers argue with me because they don't want to follow the rules, I'm sorry it's cold outside, but the people have to stay outside until the stadium is actually open, and I'm sorry you didn't realize the lens on that camera is too long to be considered a personal lens. The camera one was kinda funny, after inquiring more about it, the person said they are a journalism teacher and they take pictures to show their students. I was worried about the ice on the sidewalks for my walk home so asked my parents if they wanted to go to a late lunch when I got done. I should have just walked. Dinner/lunch whichever (it was about 3pm) was good, but the weather would have been fine for a walk home and it definitely helps with my mood.
Found a Love is in the Mail swap when I got home:
I like the sticky notes, paper clips and stickers. I'll probably use the pens, too. I'm not sure what I'll do with the notepad and cards. I also think I need to stick to the 5 things. It's hit or miss whether the other person will, and it's always more postage. I sign up for so many things, I need to try and keep things light.
Sunday: was laundry day, as always, I did put together an owls tag:
I wanted to include some owl buttons I received in a swap, but of course couldn't find it. The fabric I got in a RAK, but I have no idea what I would do with it.
My co-worker's birthday was that day, so I made her a card:
I was having a hell of a time creating stuff on Sunday, you know how sometimes the world has plans different from yours and will mess things up if you're not on it's schedule. I made the card and stopped, because nothing else was working out.
Monday: was President's Day, we had a whole day of training at the library. I don't recall what I did that evening when I got home.
Tuesday: altered a flipbook I got in a swap to send out for a flipbook tag:
Mostly because the world would not let me make one, and it had to be sent out on Wednesday.
Birthday happy mail wish:
 Green pocket letter:
I really like how this one turned out. I was going to do just green, but then found all these cacti stickers when I was looking for green things.
I created an explosion box for the director at the library, she's retiring on the 22nd. She loves my boxes.
I wanted to create something more book related, but turns out I don't have a lot of book page papers, so I went with flowers and chose to put things to do when she's actually retired.
Work was still pretty slow. Tuesdays are mostly slow, but they've been slower than usual. Also, we were supposed to get a ton of snow that night.
Found some mail when I got home, Valentine ATC:
She included some cute washi as an extra.
Flip book tag:
She said it was her first one and it was so cute.
Private swap:
She had posted the buttons from another swap and when i commented on how cute they were, she messaged me saying she wouldn't use them and did I want to swap. Sure. Funny thing is, I picked up these same buttons on clearance at Hobby Lobby on Friday, that's ok, they're too cute.
Wednesday: we got a bunch of snow overnight. My boots go up to my calves, and the snow was close to the tops of them. Work was somewhat busy.
Found a happy mail tag when I got home:
I love it, I just wish people would include a note. I'm in three of the snail mail groups plus 5 other crafting groups.
I realized I forgot to take pictures of the 3 envelopes I sent out that didn't need extra postage, I'm annoyed at myself for that, but I'm sure they'll get to their destinations, if not it was only one stamp, I can re-send, it was my fault after all.
I've been trying to eat healthier, but the healthier options of frozen foods are more expensive and not as tasty. I know I should just make my own food, but that's probably not going to happen.

Chocolate

Tuesday: It felt like I woke up every hour on Monday night, was wicked tired when I woke up. My countdown to Valentine's Day swap:
I probably won't use any of these.
Made a pocket letter:
Put together a happy mail tag:
And a Love is in the air swap:
we were supposed to include 5 things our partner would use for snail mail. I put in washi, a notepad, notebook, stamps, a stationery set and some stickers. I realized later when they suggested stamps, they probably meant postage stamps. Oh well.
I was really tired all day, but my body wouldn't take a nap, so I bought a Mountain Dew at work, which was really slow, we were sharpening pencils to have something to do.
And then of course I couldn't get to sleep Tuesday night, and went to bed really late.
Wednesday: I barely got any sleep Tuesday night (my fitbit told me it was about 5 hours), so I bought another Mountain Dew to keep me awake (though that's probably the reason I couldn't get to sleep).
My Countdown to Valentine's Day swap:
Lots of stickers. Not sure I'll use them.
I've been having a lot of fun covering my envelopes with book pages to mail out:

I didn't get any mail, which has been happening for the last 3 weeks. Only on Wednesday, it's weird. I walked 11,000 steps on Wednesday. And I came home and was lazy. I couldn't get to sleep that night either and went to bed after 11.
Thursday: I got to sleep in a bit, that helped, My countdown to Valentine's Day swap:
Seriously? I just got rid of one die and I get another one. Again, I feel people need to ask before sending these out. It was such an ordeal to get rid of the other one, that I will probably send this one as a wish or something.
I had a couple packages in the mail.
Heart tags:
Love these, again, more creative than mine. I really like that heart shaped one at the top, I punched a hole in it and hung it up.
Valentine's Day wish:
I had asked for A wrapped gift for Valentine's Day, she went way over board. I was so excited to get it and then I opened it:
I will probably only use the stickers, socks, chocolate and maybe the square heart thing. It's a good package, if I used any of that stuff, I don't. I'll probably be sending out this stuff to other people.
It annoyed me so much that I ate a Hungryman fried chicken dinner for lunch. It was really good.
I put together a Valentine's Day tag:
all those clothespins I got in my countdown to Valentine's Day swap, plus some heart gems and heart doilies.
I made a Valentine ATC:
and included some Vintage Valentines in the envelope.
I granted a wish for anything Bo Bunny:
And then I remembered I had semi plans for the day. When I went after Christmas shopping, I had bought Tarzan, a stuffed robot and Ghiradelli Strawberry, and some blind bags.
Friday: I had planned to go shopping on Thursday, but didn't feel like it, so I went today. Bad choice, it was 1, felt like -17 when I left, but I was still going. Stopped at a local grocery store and picked up some chocolate:
the top two were $3, the bottom one was $2.
Next up was Hobby Lobby:
The paper studio stuff was 50% off, but the cashier entered these wrong and gave them to me for 25 cents each.
puffy stickers (62 cents), St. Patrick's Day kit ($3.50), sticker book ($5), wooden shamrock ($1.40), acetate tags ($1), baby stickers ($2), buttons (75 cents each), angel wings charm ($1), book charms ($1.25), map charm ($1.25), octopus charm ($1.75), owl pin ($1.50), tags ($2) flower resin beads ($2), mermaid bags ($1.50), shamrock felt stickers ($2.10), shamrock gems ($2.10), and some shamrock gem stickers ($2.10).
I went to pick up some St. Patrick's stuff. I signed up for a St. Patrick's Day loaded envelope swap where we're supposed to make 70% of the goodies. This will be a challenge for me. As I was in the paper crafting aisle, I heard employees talking about how they had to mark a bunch of stuff down and that the clearance section was not big enough. I want to go back and see what they were talking about, but there's all this stuff I'm buying and not using. I spent about $40, and figured I saved about $75, good haul.
And now it's time to head off to work. I have no idea what I'm wearing. Winter is too much work.
