Green ribbon

Monday: There was a lot of reading, that was mostly all I did. It was wicked cold, temps in the 20s, but windchill at 1 degree. Also had snow on the ground. I'm not sure what the weather did on Sunday, because I didn't go out, but all the people that shoveled before Monday morning, there was ice on those sidewalks. It was much easier to walk on the sidewalks that weren't shoveled. I went to lunch with my mother, it was ok, we went to Panera, not sure what they did to their food, but it wasn't great. I caught a mouse. I'm tired of mice.
Tuesday: I put together some stuff to mail out.
Christmas happy mail:
I was going to go flat, but decided on a parcel just to get rid of a that banner kit, and the candy cane pen I got in a swap last year.
Sticker sheets:
 Wrapped Christmas gifts:
These ended up being so heavy I threw them in a priority flat rate, it was probably because of the bath bombs.
I had 7 things waiting for me in the mailbox.
Collectors: monsters
I was thinking cutesy monsters when I said this. These will probably be passed on to someone else, I find them too creepy. I decided I should just say minions for certain tags.
wish of sticker flakes:
some of these are a little out there.
Wish of PDT labels:
 I will always use these.
Favorites: minions:
You can never go wrong with minions.
Sticker sheets:
I really like the Toy Story 4 ones. In my other group, when they have a sticker sheets tag, they say no kids stickers, I wish this one did, too.
Wish for happy mail:
Still a hit or miss. I'll use the PDT label, the stamp, and the stickers. I'm not so sure how I feel about the tea.
Kawaii:
I like the sticky notes and the one sheet of stickers, but not the Hello Kitty ones.
Wednesday: I found a bunch of sharks and had to check them out:
Apparently a group is called a frenzy of sharks:
I received a favorite color: green tag:
Seriously? Out of all the stuff you could have sent, you send ribbon. At least I try to send things I'd like in return.
I came home and read that day as well. If I was just reading my books, it would be great, but I get sucked in to things on line. I did get through a bunch of movies (mostly because I'd put them in and realize I saw them not that long ago.)
Thursday: I got a Dollar Store tag:
 Love these.
Put together a Thirsty Thursday: 2 tea bags:
 A Christmas card:
 An ATC:
 A handmade tag:
I was going to go with one of the ornaments I've been making lately, but decided to go flat instead.
I finished my advent calendar:
And got it packaged up and ready to go.

Krispy Kreme pins

Saturday: was long, I was at the bookstore all day, it wasn't that busy. Found some happy mail when I got home.
Blue/yellow pocket letter:
I like that she chose emojis to use.
The goodies:
As you can see, most items were too big to fit in the pocket letter. Also, she didn't include a letter, so it wasn't really a pocket lett.
Red crafting items:
They're still ok, and she did include the money I paid.
Sunday: I was at the bookstore from 10-6. Again, very slow, I had a few times where I was fighting to stay awake. I was standing the whole time.
When I got home, I got a bunch of stuff ready to mail out while I did my laundry.
Birthday mail:
Just some random stuff from other swaps/tags. Die cut from the red crafting items, memo sheets from pocket letter, postcard from unicorn tag, stickers from my secret sister swap and some washi I bought at a garage sale.
 Send Me Something Wearable:
This is from a send me something fuzzy
 Kawaii:
I bought this at Target years ago.
Send Me Something Smelly, sticker edition.
I had just gotten some packs of these scratch and sniff stickers in a swap.
Igrab of sticky notes:
These were from a fruit tag.
Sticker flakes:
Not entirely sure what this is from as no one ever claimed they sent it, but it was a duplicate of some I already had.
Flower happy mail:
the tissue flowers are from a garage sale, flowers at top from a swap, the tissue flower is from a SMS unique, the felt flowers and flower book from a fill a box swap, the memo sheets from the pocket letter and the bags from JoAnns
ATC:
It's very flat, just a bunch of stickers.
Finally finished my laundry about 9 and hopped in the shower, got to bed rather late.
Monday: slept in until 8:30, didn't get dressed until I had to go in to work, had one of my frozen dinners for lunch.
Put a few more things together to mail out.
Wish for a cute air freshener:
I just received this in my unicorn happy mail.
trim swap:
we were to send 6 different trims that were 18" long, I have a ton of trim, so I gave her 6 short ones, and two very long ones.
T card:
All I could think of was tag.
I grabbed my mail before I ate my lunch and then was debating whether I should open them or wait until after work, I totally opened them before I left.
Send Me Something unique:
They are Krispy Kreme enamel pins. A coffee cup, box of donuts, truck and hat. They're pretty cool. Very different.
Scavenger hunt swap:
oversized: table cloth, Squishy: makeup sponges, Salty: peanuts, Useful: toothbrush, Rectangular: M&Ms.
I feel she didn't try very hard, it feels like she just went to the dollar tree and got unexciting things. I feel you could do much better. Think I'll try that challenge next time I'm there.
Back to school swap:
from the same person as above, still looks like she bought things from the dollar store. I want to know why she couldn't buy a notebook with decoration on it, why would you include pencil sharpeners but no pencils (maybe she should have kept them, because I sent her a bunch of pencils). I do like the erasers (there's a narwhal in there) and the pens.
So, I'm back to no swaps. Wouldn't be a bad thing, I might save some money.
I had originally figured I'd be at the library until 1:15 and then be at the bookstore 2-8, my boss at the library approved my vacation time for the 26th and 27th so I don't have to have two more 11 hour days. the bookstore was busy when I got in, but after about 6 (normal closing time) it tapered off a bunch, and then we had another fire alarm go off (had one on Thursday) about 6:30 and we got back in about 6:45, we were pretty dead the rest of the night.
I had a person try to "return" a book they bought on Amazon. The ISBN number matched her online order, but the way it was packaged, I knew it wasn't a bookstore book, maybe if she had taken it out of the mailing packaging and just tried to return the book, it would have worked. She told me she wasn't sure if she could return it. It's not a return if you bought it somewhere else. Also had a guy get upset that he couldn't return a backpack he purchased on a credit card and didn't have the receipt. And another get upset that he opened a bundle (loose leaf book wrapped in plastic and a code) and we couldn't return it, we don't sell them open like that. He was pissed, said because he had opened the package he was out $200, pretty much, you should listen to what the cashier tells you when you're purchasing stuff.
Had a guy on Sunday bring in a random cord asking if we could return it. Not without packaging, dude. He said nowhere on the website did it say it had to be in packaging to be returned, it does actually, says the original packaging. Had another guy return an umbrella because it didn't rain today. Don't worry it will rain again.
Thirty three more working hours and 6 more days until I get a day off. I'm not to worried about the days I'm at the library, I am a bit tired of getting up and going to the bookstore every day, If it was busier it wouldn't be so bad.

Minion magnet

March 21, apparently the mail was delivered very late this day, it was not there when I got home from my shopping day, but I found it the next morning when I headed out, and it was way too early for the mail to have been delivered.
I found a kindness Day tag:
In this tag, the poster choses someone for someone else to send something to. So, someone asked for someone else to send me washi. These came from Ali or Wish, so they took about a month to get here. They're pretty cute, that top one on the left has jellyfish, the bottom one is really thick with stingrays, I'm not sure what the top one on the other side is, the middle one has planets and seahorses (weird combination), the last one has bubbles and raindrops.
My first stop, was a local drugstore/grocery store.
I specifically went here for the chai, cause it's orange (not when you make it, but the package is), I had to pick up some batteries for my smoke detector, and I figured while I was there I'd look around and see if they had other orange things. Found the tongs, and a citrus peeler, my partner said she liked cooking. I found the bracelets, they came in a set of orange and black (the high school colors here) and I just wanted the Reese's egg. Spent $14.
My next stop was a British foods store that I've been trying to go to but has been closed lately:
The Kinder eggs were 75 cents each, I know the Bueno is good, and I didn't feel like charging that little on my card so I picked up the chocolate mix for $7. Spent about $12.
Last stop was a local fair trade store:
Apparently I should just start there next time I need colors. First thing I saw was the joy nut, and then the scarf and then the llama and then the bag. Spent $18.
Found more mail when I got home.
A wish of sticker flakes:
 A wish of tea:
And a wish for something minion:
I minions would always make me happy, apparently not when you send me stickers. It might also be because I have a ton of stickers.
March 23rd, got a wish again for sticker flakes:
March 24th, put together my orange swap:
Figured I better send the stuff I got at my local downtown, they were more unique and mostly orange. Other than the stuff I showed above, I also included some orange eggs from Hobby Lobby and some orange wrapped candies from that chocolate mix.
Also, put together something touristy:
Thought this map I picked up in St. Louis last year was pretty cute and some post cards from there as well.
Made a card for a swap using scraps to create a card sketch:
Also put together a happy mail tag:
Monday, one of the buildings across from the library was coming down, I stopped and watched it for awhile after work:
 Found a mermaid tag:
I wish people wouldn't just send stickers and washi, I want something different.
A rainbow tag:
 Again with the stickers thing.
A National Old stuff day tag:
Not very excited about this either, I like the card inside more.
Wish of tea:
 Wish of tea:
I have a lot of different kinds now, I stopped wishing for tea a couple weeks ago. I'll start in a month or so when I run out again.
March 28th:
Put together a surprise tag:
And had an interesting interaction with a bunny rabbit on the way to work:
This little guy let me walk right up to him. Thought it was weird, so when he ran in circles when I finally got him to run away, called animal control, had to leave a message. While waiting to hear back, he tried to jump on a wall and ran right into it. A guy stopped his car because he was watching me with the rabbit and while we tried to keep it out of the street it unfortunately got past us and a car ran over it's leg. Everyone else was stopping except for this ass who stepped on the gas and ran over it. Sadly, it did not kill it, only broke one of it's back legs so badly it was dangling off. The other guy called animal control again and got through to a person, and they made their way to us. Unfortunately animal control is pretty far south and we're in the middle of town and the bunny keeps running around freaking out everytime a car comes close to it. We finally got it corralled by a door to a church when the animal control officer showed up, pretty sure they had to put it to sleep.
Found this in the mail:
The return of the scraps card.
March 28th, made an Easter pocket letter:
put together a scavenger hunt swap.
This is for a different group than the other scavenger hunt swaps and though I kept telling myself I shouldn't do another one, I'm giving this group a try. We were supposed to have something shiny (gem stickers), something round (squishy keychain), something flat (bird picture), something furry (purple keychain) and something green (the buttons, though I may change them out after I get my green swap).
Received some spring die cuts:
I love these. I like that they are different and from store bought packs instead of ones you do yourself.
And also this guy:
Not sure what it was for, but it's a minion, I love it. It's the first minion magnet I've gotten.
