Giant Websters Pages purchase

Wednesday: We had machine issues, we decided if we were going to have issues, now was a better time than during a week we were open. I had a routine dr appointment, only they screwed up when I made the appointment and scheduled me too far out. I got there and they told me that, and basically made me feel like an idiot. I had planned to go on a walk when I got done, but I had worn a skirt and it was a bit too windy for it and a walk and I was upset with the drs office, so I went home instead. And for the fourth week in a row I didn't get any mail on Wednesday.

I wore one of my masks to the drs office because I knew I'd be in closer contact with people, plus you never know what's going on there.

I'm really not a fan of the masks. The longer I wore it, the more it bothered me. I found it kinda hard to breathe in it, it was really hot and at one point I had a hard time regulating my breathing. I haven't worn one much, I usually just keep my distance or don't go out. At work, we don't get that close, I go to work, the post office (where they wear masks and have plexiglass barriers), and the grocery store (where they also wear masks) and of course my one shopping trip last week where I kept my distance.

Thursday: I went back to the dr and got my stuff figured out, this time someone did apologize about the mix-up I did not tell them it was ok. I was not happy with them making me feel like an idiot, probably having to pay for something extra I wouldn't have had to if they didn't mess up and having to go back a 2nd day for them to fix it all. Also, I got up much earlier than I wanted to to get it over and done with before going in to work. We had a big thunderstorm that was mostly a giant hailstorm, I feel like it lasted 10 or so minutes. The ground was just covered when it ended: 

 Friday: I got to sleep in until about 9, that felt good after being up before 7 the last two days. I received my You Matter box in the mail:

I'm not that impressed with it. The shirt is fluorescent yellow with white words, who's gonna wear a fluorescent yellow shirt, plus the words aren't that easy to read. I like the black die at the side, mostly because it's a 12 sided die. I don't know what most of the exercise moves are that are listed on it, and there was no explanation sheet.

A booklet comes with it that tells you what's in the package, and has a couple activities. There was a word search, I really enjoyed that. I realize it's aimed at high school students, I just thought since I don't act my age, it would be fun. I have 5 more boxes to see if it changes my mind.
I also received a postcard from an old penpal, I figured I'd write her back, why not.
Saturday: I put together a RAK:

 Made some spring cards:

 I really wanted to use book paper and this hydrangea stamp. I ended up using up some scraps and watercoloring the hydrangea.

 There's 3 sets of journaling cards, 3 packages of paper clips, a couple packages of charms, a couple packages of sticky notes, a package of cameos and frames to go with them and a folio to keep embellishments in.

 They are double-sided and come with 8 square cards (2 of each), and 10 rectangular cards (2 of each).

 They come in these cute little plastic cases that remind me of CD jewel cases.

 More goodies:

 two packages of twine and buttons, a package of fabric tapes, a package of mini bags, a package of fabric tickets, 3 notebooks, 2 sheets of alpha stickers. In the description, I was supposed to get 3 packs of mini bags with a total of 75 bags.

Acetate:

 I got two sheets of all of them except the cut aparts, which are a very thick plastic.

 Acetate cut aparts, I got two of each of these. The description said I was supposed to get 12 12x12 vellums, I got 11 12x12 acetate pieces instead.

 There are 6 12x12 papers here, all double sided, so I put them so you could see both sides.

The description: $225 worth of retail. A Giant Websters Pages clearance pack features a 1 purple folio (X), 12 sticker sheets (received 11), 3 packs of mini bags, 75 total (received one pack, 8 total), 3 packs of paperclips, 2 bulk 40 pieces & 1 assorted 10 pieces (X), 2 packs of cameos 14 total (X), 2 packs of charms (X), 2 packs of sticky notes (X), 2 packs of fabrics (X), 2 style button & twine stickers (X), 3 styles of journaling cards (X), 3 standard notebooks (X), 20 12x12 double sided papers (X), and 12 12x12 vellums (received 11 12x12 acetate). *Limited quantities available and may vary slightly.
I ended up with 63 packs of things (counting each paper as a single pack) for $42 (or $47 with shipping), which comes to 67 cents per package (or 72 cents with shipping). I'm loving most of it, there's a few things that I won't use, but will be passed on in my groups. I think it's a great deal. After I purchased it, I was thinking Websters Pages is mostly planner related, maybe I don't want this, so I went to their website and looked up the items. I'm happy I got it, but it reminds me I shouldn't be spending more money on crafting stuff.

Tuesday: I got some stuff ready to send out.

 Basically we were to fill a priority mail box or mailer with destash, I went with the small box. I was going to go with the cardboard mailer, but the instructions said box or bubble mailer.

I had plans to donate a bunch of stuff to Goodwill with a friend, after I got the above stuff ready to mail, she was on her way over. After donating we went around to the front and shopped. I wanted to pick up a long sleeve t-shirt, but I didn't find any, I should have looked for another long-sleeve white shirt for work.

 I did find a couple movies. Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, this is the first one with Jeremy Renner, I keep checking it out from the library, it was priced $6, I asked why and the guy said they do that for Blu-Rays, it clearly said DVD on it, so he gave me the DVD price. Law Abiding Citizen, I keep checking this one out, too. A cute fluffy pom pom pen. Ended up spending about $6.
We were right next to the Asian food store, so we went there too.

 Not a ton, but I spent about $19. I like the Lychee gummies, they're just not that flavorful. The Bean breads were good, one was green, one was red. The Italian cake things were pretty tasteless, I took those to work. The milk boba tea was weird, I should have drunk them with a straw to get the full effect. The Korean cakes are good and I also like the Choco Boys.
Our last stop was another thrift store.

 Picked up the tiny ornament for my brother, the dolphin box came with a purchase of a necklace. I realize the flower necklace would never fit in it, but I picked up the necklace to pick apart for art. I love the tiny cameo, and the porcelain teacup filled with flowers. Also, found this Build A Bear minion, though it's kinda weird that he's in shorts without the logo thing, it had a trademark tag. Spent about $8.
My mailbox was stuffed full with something, I picked it up, but saved them for work.

Wednesday: Totally got distracted looking at my bank account that I was almost late to work. I had sent Silke's letter to the printer that morning, so I printed it out and sent her one of the stars I've been working on.

 Spent about $30 at the post office, it just turned out to be a bunch of parcels, plus that flat rate box, a couple things were heavier than I thought they'd be. Picked up a few frozen dinners and milk at the store. NO MAIL.
Thursday: decided to go with my parents to my aunt's about two hours away, mainly because my aunt sent me a text saying she was hoping to see me at Thanksgiving. I wore my new sweater:

 It was ok, the sleeves are a bit short, and it's not that warm. When I wear it again, it should be something like this, it will snag.
I sent my Christmas list out on Wednesday and asked mom about it on Thursday and she said, it looks like a lot of "stuff" I thought we weren't doing "stuff" this year. It annoys me to no end about that. You can afford it, why do you care what I want? I'd love to get a year's subscription to the Once Upon a Book subscription box, or the mini printer that connects to your phone and prints little 2x3 pictures. I'm so done shopping for everyone then.

 I was so excited to have remembered this when I was trying to think what to send for this tag.
I received my Crafty Christmas Countdown in the mail, which is good, I was annoyed that it might not arrive until after I was supposed to start opening it, it seemed heavy, I'm excited.

 I noticed she's got a 25 in there, it wasn't a requirement that we do a 25, I remember looking, so I hope she's ok with me not sending her one.

Saturday: I switched shifts with a co-worker and opened instead of closing. I was ok not having to deal with the heat (upper 90's) and heat index (103), there was a heat advisory that had started by the time I left at 1:15. As I was leaving a friend offered me a ride, which I gladly accepted.

Found a birthday wish when I got home:

 Though I was a bit perturbed that it was a postcard, it's not like I can save that until my birthday.
Sadly, I got bored the rest of the afternoon. I tried reading books, I tried watching YouTube and movies, I just couldn't get in to anything.
Sunday, I decided to take stock of the blind bags I had opened:

 The top are Pint size heroes by Disney, there's 3 Ugly Dolls blind bags, a bunch of My Little Pony and a few Trolls.
I then divvied up the rest of my blind bags, saved 5 to open on Sunday and 5 more for Monday. The ones I opened on Sunday:

 An Ugly Doll, a Troll, a Pint Size Heroes (Belle), a How to Train your Dragon and a Gremlins.
I had brunch with my parents to celebrate my birthday. We went to a brunch, my parents had the buffet, which just had a bunch of items that I felt I could have at home: scrambled eggs, French toast, omelets. I figure if you're going out to eat, you should get something you can't have at home.

 So, I got pecan French toast:

 The syrup was so good, I really wanted to just lick it off the plate.
Afterwards we headed to Walmart to get a microwave, but because we didn't know what was the best, I have to research and then tell my parents which one I want.
I splurged on a bunch of blind bags for my birthday:

 Surprise toy box ($5), owl wood piece ($0.50), Lost Kitties ($3), taco keychain ($2), Grumblies ($4) Cutetitos ($10), Pikmi Pops ($5).
I spent about $42, I've decided to not buy anymore blind bags unless they are $2 or less, preferably only $1. I figure I've bought a couple blind bags every time I've gone shopping and if they are $3 each, that's quite a bit of money. I need to focus on garage sales and not big box stores. I also figure that I've been spending the money I've been saving from not buying crafting supplies on blind bags. So much for saving money.
I made my cheesecake:

 It's a bit brown, but I couldn't figure out if it was done. Everything said the middle should jiggle, but not the sides. Everytime I shook it, the whole thing jiggled. I tasted the middle, it's good, plus the serving suggestion is whipped cream and hot chocolate.
The square pan was the leftover cheesecake, I had cut the recipe in half and still had quite a bit left. I wish I had a smaller pan, so it would have been thicker, it's about half an inch thick, I've just been eating it out of the pan, it's delicious.
I chose to open the surprise toy box, after googling it, I realized it wasn't that great.

 But I guess that's what you get for spending so little for 8 blind bags. I like the little animals and the egg full of dinosaurs. I'm not even sure what that thing is on the right side.
Monday: I chose to wear another dress to work:

 Thought I'd go shopping after work, I was originally going to go Saturday after work.
Found these at a local fair trade store:

 I didn't end up buying anything.

Mail was delivered late (4:45), I think it was because I knew there was a box of birthday surprises. I ended up with 10 items in the mail.
