What happened this week?

I feel I've been pretty lax in posting lately, and I really don't have a good reason for not posting, especially with as much time as I seem to be spending in front of my computer.
This week has been pretty busy though, Kevin (my boyfriend) came back on Sunday and we spent quite a bit of time driving around and buying stuff we didn't need. By the time we got back to my house, the Super Bowl had already started and I decided to make hamburgers with the ground beef that desperately needed to be cooked, except I didn't have buns, so we went out again and ended up going to the SuperWalmart and getting food and other stuff we didn't need. By the time we got back and got our nachos (they sounded better than burgers) fixed, the Super Bowl was pretty much over.
Monday, I had to get up and shovel snow and then venture to work, got to eat lunch with Kevin after work and hang out a little before I had to go to another job.
Tuesday, got up and went to work, came home and shoveled snow again. The news people said we got about 10 more inches of snow with that storm that lasted from Sunday until Tuesday afternoon. And we're supposed to get more tomorrow. I'm really getting sick of snow. Went to work again that night.
Wednesday, woke up and pretty much messed around all day on the computer (I'm blaming it on the One World One Heart giveaway, there were over 1100 blogs on that list). And went to work that night. I got woken up about 3 AM to Kevin trying to bury me in frogs (I love frogs), and he spent the rest of the night cuddling with me.
Thursday, got up and did my laundry, Kevin and I went out to breakfast (or lunch for him), came back and had a birthday lunch with my dad. Don't remember what I did with my afternoon before I had to go to work.
Friday (that's today), wasted a ton of time on the computer again, went with dad to the grocery store, and spent more money on stuff I didn't need. Went to work, which is where I am now, and it's not very busy (which is why I can update my blog).
My weekend's not looking THAT eventful, I'm going to my cousin's wedding tomorrow, we might stay over because of the forecast of the winter storm, don't know how that will turn out.
I should really work on art projects tomorrow during the day, I have my Yahoo! group's neon cards due at the end of Feb, a bird collage swap due the middle of March, but I have to mail it to the UK, so I figure I need to be done at least by the 5th, 13 inchies swap for the same group due in March, a puzzle piece swap for that group due in March also, and a trivial pursuit swap due in April, plus my group's Girly cards for March and fabric cards for April. Of course, I can't do my group's stuff until those months as people are still sending me stuff.
I'm also planning to make/alter something for my One World One Heart giveaway on my other blog as I have over 200 comments on there, and I figured I'd do something for every 100 comments I got.

Oh, and Sunday is not looking very exciting either. Kevin's in Colorado at a Storm Chaser's convention until then and he goes back to work on Monday night, so I'm guessing he'll try to stay up on Sunday night to get back in the swing of things. I'm thinking of going downtown and purchasing myself some Valentine candy or something, and then watching movies with my frogs, or working on art that day.

And that is the update in my not-so-exciting life. Maybe I'll have something more exciting next week.

Also, a question for my readers, what's a good horror movie?
I've been drawn to horror movies lately, which I find strange as when I was little they always scared me. I think it's because I used to watch Supernatural and some of the things they showed on that show were pretty creepy. That's used to because when they started to go on about good and evil and God vs the Devil, I became disinterested. Granted they still have the cool car and the good looking guys (pretty much the reason I started watching it), but I don't know how I feel about that stuff and I'd rather figure it out before I start watching shows/movies about it. Plus, I work Thursday nights (when it's on), and I close the store at 8, which doesn't get me home until about 8:30, by that time, it's half over with.
Some movies I have already watched are: The Orphan, Case 39, The Omen, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Skeleton Key, The Last Winter, The Ring, I know there's more, but I can't remember them now. Any really good ones that will really scare me?

My mother came to Hazard when I was just 7

ugh, so I'm a little worse for wear today. Thank you Snow God, when I meet you we're gonna have a show down. I don't mind the snow so much, but this 'storm' as the weather people are calling it, sucked to shovel afterwards. It rained pretty much all day yesterday (that's the good news), and then it started to snow last night. So, today when I went out (yes, Goddess, I did shovel), the slush from yesterday was frozen, with the snow filling in the patterns, that's hell to shovel. Cause it's not like its nice and flat to shovel. And then there were bits that were very drifted, but no big strong winds that the weather people said we'd have (I was kinda hoping we would for 2 reasons, one some of the snow would blow away, and two, I'd have a good reason not to go out and shovel). So, I decided to go out when it was supposed to feel the warmest (+9), well it was a lot warmer feeling than 9, or I'm sick, cause I had to go back in and change into my leather jacket from my big heavy winter jacket. And as I'm out there, I had the urge to take even my leather jacket off. I've heard and read that hypothermia makes you feel hot, so I could have been sick, but who knows, we all know I don't visit the dr. After about 45 minutes I got sick of trying to shovel snow that wasn't gonna move for me, and the fact that Dream Guy across the way (or his roommate) invested in a snowblower and was using that. So, I went inside, I was so pissed I was almost crying (I have no idea where those tears came from), so I was stripping off my coat, hat, scarf, boots, gloves, and pants (I had long underwear underneath), and my pants got caught in the headphone wire on my mp3 player and knocked it down a couple stairs, so I got pissed, swore and hit the wall (there was a lot of power in that hit), and now my hand hurts, nothing feels broken (not that I would know what something broken feels like, but I figured if the side of the hand feels the same as the other hand, it has to be normal, right?), but it does hurt.
Oh, and I've also decided that I would love it if I had a cop (or other guy to complain to) on one of my many IM lists. I figure, Goddess has to get annoyed with my complaining some time, and it would just be nice to have a guy to complain to. Someone that doesn't really know me (its more fun that way).

my tail's froze and my nose is froze and my ears are froze

Pretty damn much. Me and mom were outside tackling the end of the driveway which seemed to have 4 ft of water in it (yes over assumption). My pants were soaked up to the knee. I got inside and now my legs are frozen from the hips down, my hands are frozen and very much in pain, my lips are frozen. I hate winter.
And tomorrow I get to get up and shovel. Hooray (hope you can read the sarcasm dripping from that)

Snow pics

Here are a couple pics I took this weekend.
This is the outside world through my stairway window, Sat morning
One of the ice covered bushes from Sat
Close-up of ice covered bush from Sat
What awaited me Sun Morning
Another pic of the masses of snow everywhere Sun
There have been numerous tree branches and power lines down in the neighborhood. They have collapsed due to the massive amounts of ice and then inches of heavy snow on top. There are tons of downed tree branches, I'll see if I can't get some pictures of those.

In Limbo

UGH! So, it snowed last night, it only took me about 2 hours to shovel everything this time, yay!
Now, referring to the title, my bathroom project is in limbo. The plumbers came today, took out the sink, bathtub and toilet. Then the carpenter came, looked at stuff (to get an idea of how to set up his stuff and plastic), then left to get stuff and talk to the plumber contractors. So he comes back about 11:30 and tells me that the plumbers sent the plan to the building code inspector person at city hall. And the guy that approves this stuff is gone til Thursday, and they're not even sure he'll approve the plan when he comes back. You think the plumbers could have checked on that BEFORE they took out my toilet? But, no.
So, I wonder if this will be all done before mom gets her surgery. My best guess is she just doesn't wanna worry about this after she's had it, a little less stress is always nice. Also, it's just getting annoying to go downstairs for a shower.

I was so ashamed of what I'd done

Yep, there it is. These are 2 pics of the snow, and the driveway I had to shovel.
So, I got it all done. Nicely (sarcasm) we live on a corner, so I had two public sidewalks, four private sidewalks, the whole driveway, and the porch. It only took me like 5 or so hours. I know I took some breaks and as I was getting to the end, it took so damn long.
Ooo, and you can see dream guy's house and truck across the way. See that house across the street in the upper left hand corner, with a red truck in the driveway? That's where he lives. So close, and yet so far away.

stupid snow

I'm complaining today, so deal with it or fuck off.
So, we got maybe 4inches of snow yesterday, and I have to shovel today. My parents are making me do the whole damn property. Nicely, we live on a corner, so I have 2 public sidewalks, all our sidewalks, and the newly paved driveway. I was just out there for 45 min, and i have a tiny path on the sidewalks, and the end of the driveway done. I'm beyond sore, plus that cut in my hand doesn't make it any easier. I came in for a break because it felt like I was gonna pass out, and you can't sit outside, cause you freeze. I'm so pissed at my parents, god forbid they help out.
I understand that mom won't cause she's having a tube shoved down her throat for dr's to look at her lungs, but what's dad's reason? That he shoveled the inch on Sat, yeah sure. Even if I shoveled Sat, I'd still be shoveling today.
Unfortunately, I'm so tired, I can't use my anger as a force to shovel the snow. Anyone wanna come help?
