Slime Sucker

December 12: I woke up to our first snow of the season:
We had about 2-4 inches. I put together some wishes.
One for a surprise:

I just did a bunch of memo sheets and some sticky notes.
A wrapped gift:
I just sent some stationery I had gotten.
Another surprise:
I basically sent all the winter/Christmas stuff I had received:
And another surprise:
A bunch of stationery sheets.
Last surprise:
Some sticker flakes I got in a swap.
My extra fun for the night:
A cute little mouse ornament, she looks like she's all dressed up with nowhere to go.
Advent calendars:
Mine was the grow your own space aliens, the scratch art kit and the food tape. The squishy was a lamb, the keychain a pig head on an ice cream cone, the swap: some flair and foam pieces.
I opened another gift from my secret sister:
It ended up being a snail salt and pepper set.
I gave up and ended up just opening anything. I love how she reused this lightbulb box for one of the gifts:

And all the things:
Tape, salt & pepper set, Rainbocorn, gnome, adhesive, cards, 12x12 paper pad, notepad, pens and chocolate.
It felt like every gift I opened was better than the last. I love the Rainbocorn and the gnome and the pens and the notepad and the snail and the chocolate. I already ate the chocolate (the 14th was stressful), I've never bought a medium rainbocorn, it's a mini stuffed animal, a bobocorn and a stamper. The gnome is grey so I can leave him up after Christmas. The notepad will be used for the rest of the season, I like having one notepad for each season for all my mail notes. I love any pens. I can always use more adhesive. I love the 12x12 paper pad, but I have so much paper, I see myself passing it on.
December 13: was a very lazy day, I did laundry, that was about it.
Advent calendars:
Mine was the slime sucker and dinosaur tape. The squishy was a dolphin, the keychain a pineapple with sunglasses and the swap was ribbon.
December 14: was stressful, I got online to pay my health insurance premium but it said I owed nothing, so I called and they said they didn't have a record of me having coverage for next year. I totally enrolled in November. So, I called the marketplace, while I was sitting on hold, I made sure to hit enroll on both my plans just to make sure and the lady said it only showed up as me enrolling today. I had gotten the email to pay back in November. I had also gotten a letter from my health insurance people about cancelling, which I thought was weird cause I'd never gotten one of those before. The marketplace people said I had coverage for next year, and if my health insurance people still didn't show proof in 2 weeks, I should call again. I feel there's always something every year. I also feel like this shouldn't be so hard. I totally ate my chocolate after hanging up. I'll stress about it in 2 weeks if I have to.
Advent calendars:
Mine was the gnome and unicorn washi. The squishy was a hippo, the keychain was the avocado and the swap was a few Christmas tags.
I'm rather annoyed with this swap, we were supposed to have at least half be handmade. I cheated, I only get 3 handmade items. I love seeing what people make me, plus I get inspiration from the handmade things. I'm seriously thinking about not doing a swap next year. Plus, I'm getting so much joy out of the other Advent calendars. I LOVE the avocado keychain, I'm not sure why, but I'm loving avocados with faces.
I got stuff wrapped and ready to mail to my brother and his girlfriend:
My brother gets the shuffleboard ornament, the Bob Ross mints and the reindeer ornament. His girlfriend gets the shower fizzers, the hand lotion and the bejeweled tree. I have a couple other reindeer for my brother but they are glass and ceramic, I've never figured out how to package breakable stuff to make it in one piece in the mail. I'll have to hold on to those until he can come here. I saw this shuffleboard ornament in someone's Hobby Lobby shop with me. Years ago, my brother and dad used to play shuffleboard on vacation, I remember watching them.
I put together a card sketch:
This might be the first time I actually glued everything down and created a card for the sketch. I admit, I have a tendency to cheat and just make a card front. I feel it needs something in the tag itself. Here's the sketch I was going from:
And we were supposed to do this Christmas, but I guess my mind moved on to Valentine's day already.
Mail was wicked late, it was delivered close to 6. I found some snowman embroidered hand towels:
Not sure what exactly this was for as the group wasn't listed in the card, but I think it's from my geeky group and I think it's for my holiday swap, but I have no idea. I hate when people do that, I have a lot of groups I'm in, I don't like hunting down what stuff is for.
A pen pack:
These are the exact pens I use for my journal right now.
A wish for happy mail:
That date says November 3, the envelope was postmarked November 13th, mail is a little slow. I LOVE this, I love little crocheted (or knitted, I can never tell) ornaments.
Another happy mail wish:
This person always sends the best happy mail. I don't think I've ever gotten anything I didn't like from her.
