Long busy week

This week has been crazy busy so far, and it's looking to be busy for the rest of it and into Sunday.
It's spring break for the college kids and below. I honestly thought everyone got a spring break week, but as I was hanging out with Kevin yesterday, he said they got a couple days around Easter, but never a whole week. People have been saying at the library how it's so nice and quiet with the college kids gone. Anyways, Monday, I worked at the library like usual, got done around 1PM, found out I had two movies waiting for me to check out: the 2nd Transformers and Star Trek, so I checked those out and popped the Transformers movie in when I got home, had to stop it to go get my hair cut. I got 8 inches cut off. I'll see about getting a picture taken so you all can see before and after shots. Started off in the movie where I left off when I got back home, had to go to work, and watched the rest of the movie when I got home again. I really don't like watching movies in segments, so I'm trying to find some time to watch it in full, but I know it's going to have to be soon, as I'm sure someone else is waiting down the list for it and I won't be able to renew it.
Tuesday: went to work at the library, when I got done, I found a text from Karli, asking if I wanted to go to lunch. We went to Pizza Ranch and then to Kmart and Earl May afterwards. Got back home about 3 and worked on my one world one heart art piece until I had to go to work, head over here to see it. Went to work and came home.
Wednesday: Kevin showed up about 3AM, I woke up kinda early and did my laundry, also scanned some ATCs (artist trading cards) for my collageatcs Yahoo group. Kevin got up about 1pm, and we went to a restaurant with some friends for lunch. Afterwards we went to Lowe's to get a present for his brother, who's birthday was yesterday. Then we went to the mall to get my ring fixed, the sapphire was a little loose. Finally we had just enough time to go get a DQ blizzard and drop me off at work. Work was pretty busy, then I went home to bed.
Today, I found out I won Susan's giveaway on her blog. I have to open the shop at 9:30 this morning and afterwards get to go on a picnic lunch and play with my friend, Loretta's puppies. Then we're going to go to PetSmart, after that I'm not really sure.
Tomorrow, I have to open the store again, and then sometime in the afternoon, my dad needs some help with computer stuff. There's also supposed to be a storm bringing rain and snow Friday night into Saturday morning. I read in my daily weather email that it's looking like 3 to 5 inches of snow.
Saturday, I have to open the store again and then I have the rest of the day free. Somewhere between Fri and Sat I need to work on some Trivial Pursuit ATCs for another Yahoo! group I'm in. I was thinking they were due in the middle of April, but was kindly reminded the other day, that they're due on the 1st, OOPS! I also need to finish up my one world one heart art piece so I can get it in the mail on Monday, I believe it's almost done, just needs a little more texture.
Sunday, I have to work at Hilton, the NCAA women's tournament is going on Sat through Monday, so I'm working some practice security from 8 to 1, and then a game from 4:30 to 6:30 that night.

I really hope next week slows down a bit.

It's a hope ticket

Only really big news is that we have a SuperWalmart now. I swear everytime I go in it, (I've been there 2 times in the last week) it feels like I'm in Cedar Rapids, not here. Guess it's time we realize we're finally becoming a big city. Next thing you know we'll have a new mall, and if we're lucky the guy that owns the other mall will get in gear and make that one much better.
Let's see, other interesting stuff about me....My w's turned 4 last week. Karli had her 24th birthday, which we celebrated (her, me, Kevin, and 4 other of her friends) at Okoboji Grill (can you believe there's not an Okoboji Grill in Okoboji?) with food and a drink, then 5 of us continued on to Brewer's (a smokeless bar in Somerset) and had another drink, you can really taste the alcohol in those drinks. I had one drink there, and it felt like the time I drank on an empty stomach (my stomach was full this time). And then the next day, I got to go work the last basketball game of the season, that was bumming, cause now I have no regular work. I hate that I'm going through this all again this year, so much for graduating college and having a guaranteed high-paying job. I don't think I'll last til May this year, my tax refund helped, but I'm pretty sure I won't last til May. Course last year, when I was at my wit's end I found a job, I'm really hoping that's what will happen this year, course I don't want to be at my wit's end, but.... I'm also trying to sell some of my artwork online, it's not working, but when you choose to put it on a site where there's thousands of other sellers, you just hope your stuff will catch someone's eye.
I'm trying to think if there's anything else new, but I decided if I have to think this long, there's probably not.
Hope all my loyal readers and one time passers by are having a good day and life. Enjoy it.

Live your life with arms wide open

Thursday night, I planned on going to Porky's for bike night. Thursday, we had thunderstorms, and a tornado watch, I actually found out where the basement is at work. So I was figuring that by 6 when I got off, we wouldn't be going to Porky's, well, Karli decided that since the severe weather had passed we should go anyway, and I wasn't gonna complain. Karli, her mom, me and Kevin started out for Porky's only to be called by Karli's mom's friend and told that Porky's was locked up, so we went to Trophies instead (the place the bikers go after Porky's). That was fun, got to hang out with bikers and look at bikes, then we decided to go to The Jungle Room, a karoke (sp?) bar where a great number of the bikers congregate after Trophies. I never go to sing, I just like to watch, I was very entertained because Karli and her mom were dancing. I kinda felt sorry for Kevin cause he seemed so bored. As mean as it sounds, I'm thinking next time I go, we're leaving him at home. He was so out of his element. You know how bikers have a certain stance about them (and if you don't I'm not gonna explain it, cause you won't understand anyway)? Kevin just didn't fit in with them.
I was talking to my boss yesterday about it, and she said I need to have a list of stuff I want/need in a guy. Is that true? I was so happy just having A guy, I don't want to go and make a list and maybe find out that there's not a lot on it that he fits with. I'm extremely confused. I've never had a boyfriend (yes, we are officially girlfriend and boyfriend) before, so I don't know anything about relationships, but I know I love cuddling on the couch, I also know it's not going to go beyond cuddling, even if I have to dump him, it's not happening.
Any advice from my small subset of readers?

Let's Ride

So, me and Karli went to see Ghostrider tonight. Oh shit, that's a great movie, I'm gonna have to buy it when it comes out. And if I thought I got turned on by the commercials, well, lets just say I had a great experience during the movie. There's this one scene where the older ghostrider and Nicolas Cage are riding through the desert, the old one on a horse and Nicolas Cage on the bike, OMG, that really turned me on. I was grinning pretty much throughout the whole movie, it was pretty much like the first time I got to ride on a bike, and the first (ok second) time I rode with a cop. Great experience. I recommend it if you like: bikes, comics (cause it's based on the Marvel comic Ghostrider), Nicolas Cage, skeletons. It's a great movie. I had heard that the story line was messed up, but I didn't really get that, though it was kinda weird how they just kinda invented the bad guys he was supposed to fight, but the whole sweetness of a fiery skeleton on a sweet bike kinda overshadowed that. And, it was nicely set up for a sequel at the end. I generally am not a big fan of sequels, but I like how they set up the end of this one, I would most likely go see a sequel.

Well, crap

I'm gonna be very annoyed if this makes it so I can't see Karli tonight.
I feel like crap, and not just cold/flu crap, really painful crap, course as I'm typing this it's not as bad, so hopefully it will run away.
I've got a really annoying painful sharp jabbing pain in my stomach, plus I'm very nauseated and feeling like I'm gonna puke. I haven't thrown up in like months if not a whole year. I feel if I move or do too much of anything I will pass out or puke. Lucky me.
CRAP
And like I said, I'm planning on seeing Karli this evening, I have to mow at least one lawn tomorrow morning, and I hope to go to the state fair tomorrow evening. If this goes and messes up any of these plans I will be very disappointed to say the least.

And then magically it's gone, only took it 40 min, stupid body.

Like a comment burning bright

OK, little bit of a cross post here, but I wanted to expand on it a little bit.
Wow, so I figured out why Sodapop likes Miami Ink so much, I watched it tonight and comparing it with the other tattoo show I was watching this week, Inked, I do like MI better. MI’s mostly all about the tattoo artists tattooing and their clients, just the tattooing of them, and the reasons behind the tats. Inked showed more about the lives of the artists, other things they did, though I have to say I like the parlor in Inked better, but that’s just cause it didn’t look like a tattoo parlor, it had lots of woodwork, a big receptionist desk and it was weird, it was right in the middle of what looked to be a shopping mall. Also, instead of a neon sign that said Tattoos on the front of it, it just had a sign with their name on it, kinda weird. The only reason (ok, there are two), I was watching it was cause I was watching this show Overhaulin’ before it, these people on the show take an old crappy looking vehicle and make it beautiful again, the few shows I’ve seen they’ve been older, maybe 60’s vehicles, so I’m not sure if they do other eras, but you would thinks so; and cause Sodapop’s always raving about it.
They had one chick on Miami Ink tonight who was getting a cherub to help her remember her mom and heal from her death. And one of the guys was saying how he's done a lot of ink that's for people remembering loved ones, and I was thinking, when I get enough money saved up for my next tat (or I can get someone to "buy" one for me), I'm getting a fairy on my right shoulder blade for Karli.
Now, if you know me, Karli is my best friend and last Nov she found out she had a brain tumor, which turned out to be cancerous. She got part of it taken out in an operation in Jan, and then started radiation in Feb, and ended that in March. In April, she started Chemo, well the drugs they gave her for the Chemo reacted toxically with her body and sent her into seizures. So, she's been healing since then, and on Thurs she's supposed to have a special brain scan to see if there's any of the tumor left. There is one more treatment that she can have if there is any of it left.
So, getting this tat wouldn't be to remember her, but just cause I love her so much, and realizing how close I came to losing her. The fairy I have in mind is one she has a poster and a magnet of, she's a big fairy fan. And I think it would be very fitting. I know she's gonna beat this and live a very long life, but I also know how quick we can lose the people we love. So, I just wanna get it, maybe I'll even get it in color...
