Happy WOYWW

It's Wednesday again (well not at the moment I'm typing this, today is Saturday, but I wasn't sure what I'd have for Wednesday and I got some really cool stuff at garage sales today, so that's what I'm showing). I got some great deals on some stuff on garage sales today, plus a neat triptych in the mail today. So, in the picture above is a bag of oil pastels I got for $1.00, there's also a pack of Hello Kitty shoe charms, that I'm planning on sending to a friend in one of my Yahoo! groups, a nice Halloween triptych I received in the mail (more on that in a minute), the squareish chipboard pieces that I believe I mentioned last week (but forgot about when putting stuff on my craft table), and a bag of beads that I got for $.50.
Here's a close-up of the triptych. When I got back from my garage saleing, I saw a brown envelope in my mailbox and wasn't quite sure what it was. I opened it up and it was this, the fences are wooden, the ghost, bat and jack-o-lantern are foam. It is a RAK from a member of another one of my Yahoo! groups, she sent it to give me a smile after hearing about Ames' flooding problems, and it did give me a great smile. On the flooding, we're pretty much back to normal, when I got back from Okoboji on Monday, we could drink and use water like normal. Business that got flooded are still cleaning up, but the river and creek are back in their banks and unless we get 3 nights in a row with more than an inch from thunderstorms, I believe we won't have any more flooding, on a side note, I have a lot of bottled water now.
And here's some more goodies. In the bottom corner are some cute little toys, then there's two cloth doll blanks that I got for $1.00, I thought I could use them for some art dolls, which I've never really tried before. Next to them are some Hannukah (sp?) stamps, an angel stamp, the blue things are a set of underwater stamps, then there are some Christmas stamps, a red ink pad, a blue/green ink pad, and underneath that some skater stamps. I got all the stamps in the same bag for $1.00. Above the stamps is a cute little pink bag that had the box of beads in it, got that for $1.00, I thought I could do something cute with the front of the bag. And last of all, there's a bag of foam shapes that I got for $.50, those are always fun to use.
Hope over to Julia's blog to see what other people have on their workspaces. I love getting comments.

You seem to find a lot of neat things at garage sales. Don't let life get to you, better days ahead, life is all about ups and downs and you are not alone believe me. Thanks so much for posting the pictures of Lake Okoboji. Miss the countryside of Iowa.

I see you are making Halloween goodies. Nice that there is a back story to them, too. And you got a lot of good bargains, too.

I know I'm late, but I had a required tutorial to post on Thursday and had trouble getting back to the WOYWW blogs. Hope your water has receded. I know how frustrating and scary that can be. At least the water didn't reach your level (grin). Happy belated WOYWW.
