What do you get for dating a year anniversary gifts? I know for marriage, it's the paper anniversary, but what about dating?
May 1st is when Kevin and I decided we were actually dating, and that's coming up pretty quick. I wanna get him something really cool and special, but I don't know if there are "rules" for dating anniversaries or not.
Any suggestions?

There aren't any "rules" that I know of for dating anniversaries, but I have a few ideas. You could make him a CD of songs that are special for your relationship and then present it in some special way. Ditto with a movie or something symbolic of a special moment you had together. You could also get him tickets to a concert or an event of something he'd really like. It shows you're in tune with his interests and it's something you can do together. If nothing is coming up soon or it's too expensive, do something else that shows you listen to him and appreciate him. For example, Duffy likes to try different beers, especially from microbreweries. For our last anniversary I bought him a 3 month membership to a Beer of the Month club, and every month for 3 months he got a box of 12 beers from different breweries.
Anniversary gifts (especially for the first anniversary) don't have to be big or expensive, they just have to be meaningful. Give him something or do something for him that comes from the heart. You're a creative person, I'm sure you'll come up with something great :)
